Chapter Eight: Drunken Melodies.

I eventually emerged from the shower. I had to cut my shower shorter, considering I was not going to leave a poor guy by himself in my house full of drunken middle aged people. I settled for some black leggings and a hoodie. I'm not fussed about my image, to be honest, I looked like a slob, my hair tied in a braid that was falling out, zero makeup and a baggy hoodie. This is what life should be like. If Vic didn't like me like this, he's getting kicked to the curb. I entered my room, where Vic was studying some old picture sitting on my desk. I cleared my throat and he looked up.

"You were a cute kid." He stated. I smiled.

"I know." He quirked up his eyebrow.

"Cocky much." I shrugged. I walked over and sat crossed legged on my bed. I felt some awkwardness start to seep in. I honestly had no idea what to do. I have a pretty boring life though. And my house is boring. Everything is rather boring. He came and sat right across from me. He placed his elbows on his knees, and rested his chin on his hands. He gave me a cheesy grin.

"What do you wanna do?" I asked him, copying his position. I felt like two kids, deciding what game to play next. He shrugged, tilting his head to the side slightly. The door burst open and I looked up to see my brother standing in my doorway. I had completely frozen, the way he was looking at Vic made me on edge.

"So you do have a boy with you." He said stiffly. Vic gave him a small smile and waved.

"I'm Vic." I watched my brothers reaction.

"Ryan." He shot back bitterly. I think Vic saw Ryan coldness towards him, but seemed to throw it aside.

"Just to let you know, I'm just a friend." He added on. I felt myself deflate slightly, but knew it was true. Ryan raised an eyebrow.

"Aren't they all?" I frowned at my brother. Does he think I'm a slut or something? I never bring guys home. I guess that's why he's being protective, but he doesn't deserve to be. He gets all angry and grumpy when I tell him how much I dislike Amelia. He says it's none of my business, so how is this any of him.

"That nice Ryan, where's the cow? I'm in the need for some milk." I saw Vic trying to keep a straight face next to me. Ryan scowled at me.

"Why are you being such a bitch tonight?" I raised my eyebrow.

"Me a bitch? You're the one who is giving Vic death stares." Vic aura was now slightly uncomfortable. Me and my brother used to be really close, but he got Amelia, and I was left alone.

"Now go scurry back to your owner, cause she seems to have you on a lease anyway." I spat out, trying to spare Vic one of mine and my brother full blown scream fests. Ryan stormed out, giving up on me. Vic still looked out of place. I gave him a nervous smile.

"Me and my brother used to get on swimmingly, but he got a girlfriend and left me in the dust." Vic nodded.

"That sucks." I sighed loudly and rubbed my hand up my arms.

"I know. Since your here, even though I wanted to avoid the whole area, you wanna meet my parents. I do apologise, considering they're probably drunk, but their pretty great in my eyes." Vic smiled widely.

"I'm already meeting the parents?" He gasped, placing his hands on both sides of his face. I pushed his shoulder back.

"Shut it." I got up from the bed, knowing he would follow behind me.

I cautiously made my ways down to the basement, where the noise was all coming from. I was cringing slightly, every time somebody yells out. As I reached the door I turned to Vic.
