Steve's pov~

"Woah woah, woah woah take it easy Nanc," she continues chugging down her drink and I keep pressing on, "Nanc!"

She finally finished then bitterly replies, "We're being stupid teenagers for the night, wasn't that the deal?"

Im lost at words but she decides she's had enough of me and pours more liquid into her cup and leaves to the dance floor. Shit. I should've known the topic of Barb was a little too touchy for her and there I go spitting it at her face and telling her to let it go at the library earlier.

"Get off!" Nancy whines as she tries to pry herself away from me and pour more "PURE FUEL."

"No, you've had enough," I reply louder, causing a few people to turn their heads in our direction.

"Screw you!" She pulls away from my grasp and grabs more. "No stop it, I'm serious Nancy," I retort back, growing even more frustrated by the second. Soon I grab the cup from her hands but she pulls back, and suddenly red liquid is splattered all over her white costume. "The hell," she spits at me then scurries away from me. People are now looking at us, the guy who just spilled punch on his girlfriend and is now running after her. I follow her into the bathroom and close the door, hoping to fix whatever just happened.

"I'm sorr–Nanc it's not coming off," I cut myself off observing that she's trying get rid of a huge red stain with a wet towel. "C'mon, let me just take you home," I go to her side, nearing her.

"You wanted–you wanted this!" She blurts out stepping away from me.

"No I didn't want this, I told you to stop drinking–"

"Bullshit."

(A/N: It's when we all realized Steve deserves better)

"No, it's not bullshit Nancy–" I grow more impatient with her interruptions.

"Bullshit."

"No it's not bullshit, okay–" I press on, trying to maintain a calm voice.

"No, you. You're bullshit." She says louder, completely making me lose my train of thoughts.

"W-What?" I mumble, an ache in my chest starting to form.

"You're pretending that everything's okay. Like-like we didn't kill Barb?" She looks at me, completely broken, after all this time completely taking the fault for this. "Like it's great you know, like we're in love, and we're-we're partying you know, partying. It's bullshit."

"Like we're in love?" Hurt overcomes me, the feeling of my heart just breaking, my voice cracking, and my mouth parted in shock.

"Bullshit." She eyes me.
