Droplets of water cling onto my body as the never ending spritz continues. I stand under the water for a while, my eyes closed and my breathing is slowed. Showers are like paradise, even when there's paradise outside. It's like no ones there to bother you, as if the world doesn't exist.

Until I started to smell the wonderful scent of bacon.

Billy had gone to the market earlier to get food, as it had said when I woke up to a note laying next to me this morning.

Turning the shower off, I wrap a towel around my body before drying my hair. I walk back to the room, looking through the clothes I chose yesterday as to what I should wear. I decide on a pair of jean shorts and the red t-shirt I had chosen after putting on a bra and panties. With that, I leave the room with the spare comb Billy had left me, as he said there's "Always two of everything in here."

Rushing down stairs, I make a turn to find Billy's toned back facing me, in front of the stove. The sizzling sound of bacon pops in my ears as I notice that he's shirtless. Quietly striding over towards him, it doesn't take much, maybe only three steps, seeing as I'm literally 67% legs.

With my arm now enveloped around his neck from the back, my skin can feel the warmth of his skin vibrant than ever. "How come you just now cook for me like this?" I tease, thoroughly surprised of his ability.

He shrugs his shoulders, "We just didn't have time up until now."

I notice the small smile on his lips and my gaze just won't turn away from his face as if I haven't seen him a million times before.

He has the face of a heartbreaker.

What's makes me so different from the other girls he's been with? How do I know it's time to stop before I'm in too deep? I don't want to end up like I did last time.

Last time left me shattered. It's not fun to watch the one you love, the one you put your heart and soul into, fall in love with somebody else right in front of you, as you trusted them enough to believe you'll always be the one for them. As you believed their lies.

It's not fun to be cheated on.

Breaking away from my thoughts, I shake my head and unlatch my arms from his body, going to the fridge to find it almost full. I bend down slightly to take ahold of the orange juice and milk, then close the fridge and place the containers on the table.

(A/N: This is a pretty stupid question but what do non-Mexicans eat for breakfast? I had such a hard time w the food this chapter, I'm so used to beans oml sorry)

"Those shorts are way too short," Billy remarks while facing me, his eyes raking up and down.

"It's California Hargrove," I state as if was the most obvious reason in the world.

"You're better off back in average weather, not here where you show yourself like this," he says making my annoyance meter start to rise, "You're way too hot, even hotter than the girls who live here."

I don't really know if that's a compliment.

"So you're saying I'm the hottest girl you've ever seen?" I raise my brow, maybe a little too skeptical about this.

"I'd throw those shorts off you and take you right now," He comments, my heart skipping a beat, "I can take you anywhere and no guy will want to leave you alone! Fucking California boys better back off, their brains are the smallest."

"Weren't–aren't you a California boy?" I ask lifting my hands and shrugging my shoulders nonchalantly at his remark.

"I'm different."

"I wouldn't know that, I don't know any of these boys you complain about," I reply, maybe suggesting something else.

"Oh wouldn't you just love that?" He sneers while placing the bacon on a plate, "I'm sure you'd really want to see how we party here."

I roll my eyes, maybe thinking a little too low of the parties he's mentioning. Does he not remember my parties? My reputation? How easily I can gain one in front of new people?

He's bringing out the worst in me.

"They can't be that insane if I'm not there," I snap, a deep smirk appearing on my lips. He strides towards the table, placing the plate on it before staring right into my eyes, his chest extremely close to mine.

"Fine! Tonight! We'll go to my old buddy's mansion. He has a party everyday. It'll be so much for you, you'll want to leave by midnight," he smirks, forgetting that I have enough power to accept his challenge.

Smiling evilly up at him, I nod continuously. "I can't wait then. In fact, they'll all be praising me by the end of the night. They'll love me so much that they won't ever want me to leave California, baby."
