" baby. its like 2 in the afternoon" diego comes in the room waking me up.
"ugh....why did you let me sleep so late..." i groan, rolling over in bed.
"because i had a interview this morning." he says as he throws a pillow at me.
i lean up so fuckin fast.
" and you didnt invite me to go with you? nor did you even tell me about it?" i say getting defensive.
" shut up. okay. you never wanted to go to them before!" he groans as he plops on the bed next to me making the bed shake.
"so. do you wanna have dinner at my parents house tonight?" i ask as i get out of bed to get dressed.
"i mean i guess so." he says smiling.
"but i gotta go to another interview in like an hour, so ill pick you up afterwards okay?" he looks at me and smiles.
"okay. im gonna go have lunch with lucas." i say picking up my phone and purse.
" wait you leavin already?" he asks raising an eyebrow.
"yep." i kiss diego bye and head out the door.
i meet lucas at O'charleys.
" hey!" lucas stands up and hugs me.
"hey" i smile.
as we sit down and talk about my career and the futurr, our food comes.
"so. is this thing you and diego have...serious?" he asks , stuffing a piece of steak in his mouth.
"what do you mean?" i ask smiling.
" like are yall really getting married?" he asks.
"yes...i have an engagement ring for a reason..." i smile.
" madeline. i think im in love with you." he looks me in the eyes.
