madelines POV

"hey !" I heard Lucas shout over Diego singing. 

"hey!" I smile.  he sits down next to me. 

"man..this kids good! I ran into him earlier, I had no idea he was a rapper!" he chuckles.

"lucas...meet the guy I was talking about earlier !!"  I smile, pointing to the stage. 

" WAIT! THATS HIM??? I THOUGHT THE NAME SOUNDED FAMILIAR BUT I WASNT SURE!" Lucas says surprised.    "I'm sorry.." he continues. 

"its fine" I chuckle. 

"this is one of my favorite songs too..." I faintly smile, slowly turning my head to the stage. 

lucas moves closer to me. 

" I know you still love him, and I know he still loves you...he was off a little bit when I ran into him. your both broken and torn to pieces...just add that to the list of reasons why you two belong together. " Lucas smiles and gives my hand a slight squeeze. 

"thanks..." I smile.

" this next one is no love.." he looks directly at me. then his eyes travel to Lucas, sitting awfully close to me. Lucas waves and smiles. 

I smile.

which lit up his entire face. 

as Diego sang, I saw girls in the crowd get too excited. they started twerking, dancing and singing along.  one girl even got on the stage. and every time shed get close to Diego, he'd walk to the other side of the stage. 

 he mustve been doing a remix, because about halfway through No Love, betrayed instrumental started playing and he started to sing the lyrics. 

he was so excited. he hadn't performed in months. I could see the light in his eyes, shining brighter than the lights focused on him. 

as the song finished. he said that was the last song he was doing and he walked off the stage. back to where I saw him when the flame throwers and hula girls were on stage. 

" go talk to him." Lucas nudges me to get up. 

I grab my blanket and smile. "thanks Lucas." 

when I walked over to Diego, he was talking to a few guys and of course, girls were surrounding him. I slowly walked through the group of people circled around him. as I got in the center with Diego, he looks me in the eyes and smiles. 

" im so proud of you.." I whisper, not looking at him. 

I feel his warm fingertips graze my chin,  he slowly lifts my head up , to where I'm looking into his eyes. I could see tears forming in his. 

he didn't care about the hundreds of Girls surrounding him. I saw it in his eyes. 

no ... I can't..

I pull away. 

and I could see the pain in his heart he was feeling at that very moment. 

" I'm sorry...." I mouth as I slowly walked away. after I escaped the group of people, I ran back to the room. 

as soon as I slammed the door. I fell on the ground and broke down into tears. 

why did you have to hurt me...so bad....
