" CAUSE WE WERE JUST KIDS WHEN WE FELL IN LOVE !!" I yelled, singing along to the lyrics as Diego drives down the highway going 70 mph.
" bitch shut the fuck up!" he chuckles.
I look at him and smile. the windows are down, the breeze flowing through my hair makes me feel alive and happy again. I have my feet up on the dashboard and my hand out the window surfing the waves of air passing over the mirrors.
"NOT KNOWING WHAT IT WAS!" I continue to sing.
Diego looks at me and smirks.
we've only been on the road for a good two hours.
"are we almost there yet." Diego asks, relaxing back in his seat.
"uhm baby, the website says we still have 32 hours."
Diego looks at me.
"baby can I ask yuh a question." he says as he reaches for my hand to hold.
"sure." I say, turning down the radio.
" are we gonna have more trip like these in the future? "
"aren't we going on that cruise you were talking about.?"
"no baby. what I mean is like. in a few years from now. are we gonna look back on this trip an be like ' damn we should do that again ' "
I look at Diego raising an eyebrow.
" im not sticking around that long wit out a ring around dis finger baby" I laugh jokingly.
Diego blushes and smiles, kissing my hand.
we ride for a good 2 more hours. we've been on the road for about 4 hours now.
it was 6:20pm.
"can I get in the back and take a nap?" I say yawning.
"of course baby, go ahead."
I unbuckle my seat belt and climb out of my seat, crawling to the backseats.
"damn ma look at that ass!" Diego takes one hand off the steering wheel, smacking my ass.
I jump in the back seat.
" Diego! drive!" I chuckle, laying down.
and in a matter of minutes, I fall asleep.
