madelines POV

"Diego..dont okay..." I walk over to him. he was lost and confused. 

I take the ring off my finger. 

"no.." he whispers.

"listen to me." I put the ring in his hand. 

"take her out to dinner. go see a movie..do something.. and if you come home tonight.. you come home. if you decide to stay with her... stay with her... I understand this is confusing for you.. the bitch lied to you.. but if you come home...I want us to continue where we left off at.. you coming home tonight, means you have no feelings left for her, once so ever. and as soon as you walk through that door, I will put that ring back on my finger. and if you don't come home... you don't come home.. we all face hard times in life..ill get over it.." I tell Diego, holding his hands. 

I'm seconds away from screaming in his face and breaking down into tears.

he doesn't beg for me to tell him to come home.  instead.. 

" thank you." Diego hugs me. 

I give him the car keys and watch as the love of my life, walks away from me, and possibly never come back. 

I took a taxi home. 

I took a shower and got comfortable as I sat on the couch and watched t.v.,  a few hours past. 

11:34pm. 

hes not coming back...

I start to cry as I wonder, did I make a mistake falling in love with him? 

12:20am

I went to mine and Diego's room, I got out my suit cases and started packing. 

1:10am

I had a suit case packed as I figured id get the rest another time. 

I left the house key on the counter. 

this was so surreal. it was actually over. 

I grabbed my suitcase and headed out the door. as I walked down the steps. 

a car pulled into the driveway. 

"Diego...." I didn't know whether to be happy, upset or totally terrified. 

 he got out the car, with a bag of chinese food in his hand. he looked at me then at my suit case. he sat the bag of food on top of his car and just stared at me. 

"baby.." his voice cracks. 

 " nothing happened...shit we didn't even go anywhere...I took her straight to the airport , paid for her a ticket to get on a plane back to where ever she came from. I had to wait to make sure shed actually get on the plane." he says quietly. 

I had nothing to say. 

I run up to him and jumping into his arms. 

" I put a ring on your finger for a reason...im never leaving you...you are truly, my one and only..." he whispers in my ear as he holds me. 

 we went inside, I unpacked my clothes while he set up our food and blankets out in the living room. 

I walked into the living room and sat on the couch under the blanket. Diego sits down next to me. 

"I'm never letting you go baby..I love you and I mean that...." he kisses me softly.
