You felt like a highschooler again, having actually left school, your work, with Miso, and heading shopping instead of home. It did not feel adult at all.
But, not that you felt like an actual adult.
She was buying a new skirt, for her new date, with her new boo.
"Don't call him that" Miso whined, picking out a black pencil skirt "What do you think of this one?"
"Absolutely not" you argued "The Miso I know wouldn't so much as glance at that bland atrocity. You must really be nervous. It's fine, you have nothing to worry about"
"There's a million things to worry about. Do I want to seriously date him? Do I want that kind of commitment? Am I ready for that? Can I match his league, cause, gotta admit, kid's got pedigree"
"I know we haven't seen each other a few days but gosh, Miso, you still there? Who's this new, nervous, full of rules you? You usually don't even consider these things"
"We're already at that date number, the deciding one where you either fuck or decide to seriously date"
"Would you seriously date him?"
"That's what I want to know too!"
"Miso you're the only one who can answer that question!"
"Yikes, really? I was hoping you'd tell me what to do"
"Do what makes you happy"
"Wow, thanks Miss cliché. His dick would make me happy, but lowkey, him in general might make me happy too"
"Yeah, look for your skirt now"
After a good half an hour of skimming through the never-ending racks of clothing, Miso was in the dressing room, trying the skirts out, posing for you in a silly manner. Currently she had on a red one, with a little slit on the side, enough to catch curiosity of the eyes, but not enough to full on shock."
"You're going to a restaurant aren't you? Isn't that more for a club?"
"I was thinking of taking him to a club afterwards"
"Is that really a good idea?"
"Listen here my young best friend, you might be in a fairytale relationship but the rest of us make do, and I've been compromising, letting him take me to cafes and museums, and as wonderful and lovely that all is, I teach high school biology to brats, I need to get wasted and reset from time to time"
"You'll say anything to justify your alcoholism"
"Oh fuck you!" you started laughing, pulling the skirt she threw at you off your head. The tiny woman never held back. Upon finally deciding she would get a baby pink skirt, one that was neither too suggestive or too simple, you two had finally left the store. The sky was clear, and the city was in full bloom. You'd only hope Yoongi would emerge from his apartment soon enough, since the weather was really getting nicer, really, waiting for him to join in the fun. But he was Min Yoongi, and he was an insomniac, so during the day he had to make up for that.
In the crook of a small alley, you were hidden away, sipping on the latte Miso had bought you. Her bangs fell messy on top of her forehead as she tilted her head backwards to get a good chug of coffee. Just as a summer breeze, she was in a hurry to get away.
"I'm so sorry, but I have to rush"
"No, no, it's okay, I get it"
"Thanks for coming with me today"
With your hugs you goodbyed, and your smiles you waved, and Miso was gone, walking a different direction than you were supposed to head in. You played around with the thought of what she said in the store. If you recalled correctly, this wasn't the first time she used that. Saying that you had a fairytale relationship. That surely wasn't true, especially not currently.
