"No no, it's not a bad time, come in"

You had sort of, self-invited to Miso's flat in the midst of the murky Saturday. By murky, it was raining, and cold, and completely dragging your mood down. The only reason you really did this was, well, wanting to see her. Wanting to talk to her since, ever since the whole thing with Taeha, things were weird between you two, very weird, like never before weird, and you were done waiting for clear air, you were going to clear it yourself.

"Do you want something to drink?"

"Just a water, thanks" you sat down on the black couch Miso had in her living room, basking in the space and enjoying a room bigger than a bathroom. Alright, your living room wasn't that small, however Miso's place looked huge compared to your own.

After she had gently placed the water glass in front of you, the low table barely reaching the couch level, you smiled at her who stood there, obviously feeling even more awkward than you, if that was possible.

"Have I angered you?" surprisingly, she broke the ice, and you felt relieved it wasn't you "We haven't talked much these days, I feel like we're suddenly not even friends, let alone besties"

"Miso, we are besties" your smile widened at how cutely she said that, as if she was a girl "Your reaction to Taeha just pissed me off"

"Oh, that"

She said that, placing her hands behind her back, resembling for the first time in your life, an actual teacher, who was getting ready to elaborate on a very difficult topic.

"Forgive me. It was only after what I said, I realized what I actually said"

"I felt like you were one of those people, those people who are the ones causing all these kids to feel like shit, and I just couldn't believe you were saying all that"

"Oh please, I'm the bomb dot com, how can you?" she laughed a little, and you returned the laugh

"Miso, it didn't come by itself, you sparked it"

"I just spoke a bit harshly, so what?" she walked over to her kitchen, she had an actual kitchen unlike you or Yoongi, she had a kitchen, with walls and everything. She came back to the room with a soju bottle in her hand, a sad smile on her face.

"Want me to get real?"

"Please" you quickly replied.

Miso was fun. Miso was funny. Miso was all things good in life, with a pinch of sassy and crazy. And a big layer of caring, and that's probably why it shocked you how she didn't care at all for Taeha. Taeha was after all a student of the school, at least that much important, their responsibility.

"My dad, he passed away, back when I was like, five or something" she took a swig from her bottle, her smile turning more bitter than sad now "My mom, well, I won't beat around the bush. She wasn't a nice lady, no ma'am"

"I had no idea Miso, I'm so sorry-"

"Hold on, I'm not done. I won't get into my life, I got some things that I won't ever share with anyone, that's my right, but all I can tell you is, my mother lied. She lied about everything. At this point in my life, I don't know if any words that came out of her mouth held truth. A chronic liar she was. She lied about my father, cried saying that he abused her, which led me to hate him, she lied about my grandparents, saying they despised her, saying they're the ones who drove her to depression, and eventually, she lied about me, saying I was stealing money from her, saying I was a filthy girl, saying that now I too abused her, just like my father. All lies-"
