Chapter 3: Viridian Forest

Zia has been walking through the path down Viridian Forest on the lookout for any Pokemon that catches her eye for the past 10 minutes. They left the morning after the Team Rocket incident.

"How 'bout we take a break?" Asks Zia as she looks at her two companions. Seeing as they both nodded their heads, she then sits down on a big tree stump in the middle of a little clearing.

"I have an idea! I forgot to look at your all's pokedex information." She exclaimed as she sat Emmy down and pointed her Xtranciever at her.

Snivy: The Grass Snake Pokemon
Type: Grass
It is very intelligent and calm. Being exposed to lots of sunlight makes its movements swifter.
Known moves: Tackle, Leer, Vine Whip, and Wrap
Egg Move: Iron Tail, Magical Leaf, Pursuit, and Twister.
-Snivy are generally found in the Unova Region
-This Snivy is a shiny

"Wow, that's pretty cool Emmy! Sky, it's your turn now." Zia says as she turns the device towards the Shinx.

Shinx: The Flash Pokemon
Type: Electric
It's forelegs have a muscle-based system of generating electricity. It's body shines if endangered.
Known Moves: Tackle, Leer, Charge, Baby-Doll Eyes, and Spark
Egg Move: Double Kick, Fire Fang, Ice Fang, and Night Slash
-Shinx are generally found in the Sinnoh Region

"All this information, this is gonna be handy." She said as she began unpacking some snacks she bought back in the city. She also brought out some Pokemon food.

"Come on guys, come eat." As she said that, Emmy and Sky got up from where they were sitting. They walked up to the bowls Zia had set out and started eating. As Zia sat down with her crackers in hand, she spotted something in the corner of her eye. She turned to see a Weedle staring straight at her.

"A Weedle? It wouldn't hurt to get another Pokemon right now, would it guys?" Asked Zia as she sat her crackers back down and stood up.

"No it wouldn't Zia, we could always have more companions." Chimed in Emmy. Zia had suddenly started to understand her after they left Viridian City. "Well, little Weedle, do you want to come with me?" Asked Zia since she never wanted to force a Pokemon to come with her. She always gave them the choice.

"Weedle!" Exclaimed the bug Pokemon. Zia took a pokeball from her bag and walked over to the Weedle. She tapped on its head and it got sucked in and shook 3 times before it dinged. Signaling she had caught the Weedle. They walked back over to the stump and she let out the new Pokemon.

"Now I need to think of a great name for you. Hmmmm.... How about Gunnar?" Zia asked and the new Weedle, now Gunnar, shook its head yes. "Great! Welcome along Gunnar!" She exclaimed as she began eating her crackers again. Can't let them go to waste right?

"Now let's scan you." She said as she pointed her device towards Gunnar.

Weedle: The Hairy Bug Pokemon
Type: Bug and Poison
Often found in forests, eating leaves. It has a sharp venomous stinger on its head.
Known Moves: Poison Sting, String Shot, and Bug Bite
Gender: Male

"Oh, poison type. That'll be interesting! I'm so glad you decided to come with me, Gunnar!" Said Zia as she hugged him.

"How about we train for a bit? The first gym is in the next city and we can't lose our first gym battle, right guys?" She decided. She was very excited to battle again. When all three nodded their heads she began saying what each would do.
