Chapter 35: Stones Galore

After saying goodbye to Gunnar, Zia, along with Sky and Emmy, continued their journey to get Zia's seventh gym badge. However...

"What's that sound?" Emmy asked. Sky tilted her head and tried to listen as well. "It's coming from over there." The Luxray said as she ran into the trees, off the dirt path. Emmy went after her, but Zia was a little behind.

"Wait! I'm not as fast as you guys!" She yelled after them as they all went to see what the source of noise was. Sky and Emmy stopped as Zia finally caught up. "What is- oh." She said, cutting herself off.

In front of them was a small brown and white Pokemon that was collared to a tree, a water and food bowl next to it. "Did someone leave it here? I hope they didn't abandon it." Zia said sadly as she went closer to it.

Eevee: The Evolution Pokemon
Its ability to evolve into many forms allows it to adapt smoothly and perfectly to any environment.

Zia noticed something on the collar around its neck. Picking it up, she looked to see it was a tag. "Stone 3-14 Town." She said aloud. "Stone Town, huh? I think that's near here." Zia mumbled as she untied the Eevee. She carried it in her arms as they traveled to said town, hoping to find the Eevee's trainer.

As they arrived at the town, they could see a huge mountain behind it. "What's that mountain back there?" Emmy asked. "I think it's Evolution Mountain." The young girl answered as they walked through the town.

It was a nice, quaint place. It really looked like a nice place to live. "There it is. Third block, number fourteen." Zia stated as she stopped in front of the house that had the same number as the tag on Eevee.

It looked like a huge mansion, making Zia a bit wide eyed. Zia, Emmy, and Sky all walked into the yard area to find a party was going on. "It's a garden party." Sky said as they looked around. "Look!" Emmy exclaimed, gesturing over to the side. There was a woman who was giving a Poliwhirl a blue stone, making it evolve into a Poliwrath. Zia could guess that was a Water Stone.

The Poliwrath jumped into a decently sized fountain as Zia recognized other Pokemon that even evolved, all from different types of stones. Vileplume, Exeggutor, and Raichu being just some of them.

She then noticed three older guys who all looked oddly alike, but very different at the same time. They were all wearing tight white shirts but different colored tights. One had red, along with his hair, one had blue, his hair matching, and the third had yellow, his hair the same color.

They also each had a Pokemon next to them. One was red with puffy cream fur around its neck, the tail being the same. The second was blue and aquatic looking, fins on its head with a long tail. The third one was yellow with spiky white fur around its neck.

Flareon: The Flame Pokemon
It stores some of the air it inhales in its internal flame pouch, which heats it to over 3,000 degrees.

Vaporeon: The Bubble Jet Pokemon
Its cell structure is similar to water molecules. It will melt away and become invisible in water.

Jolteon: The Lightning Pokemon
It accumulates negative ions in the atmosphere to blast out 10,000-volt lightning bolts.

Zia figured Flareon evolved with a Fire Stone, Vaporeon with a Water Stone, and Jolteon with a Lightning Stone. "Now that we've seen a round of evolution, how about comparing attacks, eh?" The guy in yellow asked everybody before spotting Zia. "Eevee?" He asked, looking at the Eevee in her arms.
