"Wow! It's a Hitmonchan!" Zia said as she looked at her pokedex, staring at the brown-colored Pokemon with red boxing gloves.
Hitmonchan: The Punching Pokemon
Its punches slice the air. They are launched at such a high speed, even a slight graze could cause a burn.
Zia, Emmy, and Sky were just walking down a path when they ran across the Pokemon in the middle of the road, looking as though it was doing some kind of training. "Pfft. I can take 'em." Emmy said arrogantly, her head held high by some random sense of superiority.
Zia and Sky looked at her strangely. "I've never seen you box a day in our journey together, Emmy." Zia said skeptically. Emmy huffed and got boxing gloves out of nowhere before walking up to the Hitmonchan. The Servine lifted her gloved fists up and began to jump from side to side.
"Come at me! I've got this!" She said as the fighting Pokemon turned to her. Emmy chuckled. "Ah, so you want me to come to you? Bad choice!" Emmy said and ran at the opposition, striking a punch or two. However, the Hitmonchan merely pushed her away by the head with one glove, looking bored.
"So you think you're tough, huh? Think again! Secret punch!" The grass-type exclaimed as she bent beneath the glove holding her back and managed to somehow punch the Hitmonchan across the face.
However, it didn't do much damage. Zia and Sky, who were watching off to the side, sighed in second-hand embarrassment. "I don't understand her sometimes." Zia muttered. "I don't understand her any of the time." Sky said, looking at the Servine in disappointment.
"How many times do I have to tell you? Don't drop your guard. Keep your gloves up, Hitmonchan, because fighting smart hurts less than fighting stupid. Now go knock that pipsqueak out!" A new voice scolded as a man wearing jeans, a white shirt, and a red towel around his neck appeared.
Suddenly, the Hitmonchan disappeared and reappeared out of vision before coming up upon Emmy and sticking multiple hits in succession. It ended it with one final punch before Emmy fell to the ground, knocked out. Zia gasped worriedly and ran over, picking the Servine up.
"Emmy? Are you ok?" She asked, looking at her Pokemon's swirled eyes. "I declare Hitmonchan the winner. Congratulations. One, two, three, hooray!" The random man cheered, along with the fighting Pokemon.
Zia stood up with a fainted Emmy in her arms as Sky walked over, the both of them looking at the two strangers weirdly. "This whole situation is... different." Sky stated, getting a nod of agreement from her trainer.
"Daddy! Daddy, please come home." A new, more feminine voice pleaded as a teenage girl ran out between the two groups. She had a white shirt with golden trims and a short skirt. Her hair was red in a braid, over her shoulder. "Rebecca?" The man asked, confirming the girl was his daughter.
"Daddy, please quit Pokemon training and come home with me." Rebecca begged. "I won't come home until I become champion in the P1 Grand Prix." The man stated. "Daddy!" Rebecca tried to argue.
"I'll be in the gym taking on challengers. The gym's that way. I'll be waiting for you." The man said, pointing at Zia, before jogging away with his Hitmonchan. "Oh well." Rebecca sighed as she watched her father jog away. "Is there anything I could do to help?" Zia asked, not wanting to just leave things like this. Call it nosy, but that's just who she is.
"I'm really sorry my father bothered you." The older girl apologized, making Zia smile warmly. "No problem. We didn't mind, well, maybe Emmy but she had it coming." Zia said as she gazed down at her still knocked out Pokemon. "Can I ask a favor of you, Pokemon trainer, a really, really big favor?" Rebecca asked, sounding desperate.
