Bria

Chris woke me up extra early to go get back into the guest bed so his dad wouldn't catch us.

It was about 7 AM, but I couldn't go back to sleep. I decided to text Chris.

Me:
I'm bored, come in here :(

Chris💚:
That would defeat the whole purpose of us sneaking you back to the guest room, my dad will think I slept in there with you.

Me:
But I'm boreeeeeeeeeddddddd

Chris didn't respond, instead I heard footsteps approaching the door, and he came to the entrance shirtless with just some ball shorts on.

That's when I remembered the events from last night. I can't believe I...I can't believe I was so ready to...my goodness.

"Come downstairs, I'll make breakfast before we go get Forest." Chris said sleepily.

"Ok."

I climbed out of bed and followed him downstairs.

"You want eggs?" He asked taking the egg carton out of the fridge.

"Yeah."

Even with the euphoric state Chris would bring me to, the thought of Forest and I having to return to Greg's house with that fucking pedophile living there stressed me out tremendously.

Although Forest would be sleeping in my bed from now on, I was still worried for him.

"You alright?" Chris asked, noticing my change in attitude.

"I'm fine." I lied to him.

"You can be honest with me. We both got shit going on you know." He said cracking the egg and dropping it in the pan.

"I'm just stressing that's all. I'll be fine."

He stayed quiet and continued cooking the eggs, before speaking up again.

"Forest asked me something the other day. I know you're already stressed but it's something you should think about."

"What is it?"

"What's going to happen to him when you go to college?" He asked turning the eye off and dumping the eggs on a plate.

"I..I don't..I don't know. I don't want to just dump him with my dad."

Now I'm even more stressed.

"He suggested him and I stay together, like brothers." Chris said chuckling. That sounds like something Forest would say.

"Even if you were willing to have him with you, I can't imagine being away from him..or you."

"Babe." Chris said shyly.

"I mean it Chris. I pretty much gave up on trying to contact my mom..and I emailed the colleges I applied to, so they'd send me new copies of the letters. But the longer I wait the more worried I get, if I got accepted I'm leaving you and Forest. But if I didn't, I'll be worried about my future."

"Understand Bria. I'm willing to take Forest. You know that, right?"

"It's not your responsibility to basically raise him-"

"Brianna, I can."

Stress stress stress.

"Who knows, I could've already revived the letters. I haven't checked my email." I said shrugging.
