This is officially my most read book like ever. 40k? I don't deserve this. y'all gotta chill
Christian
I left Christopher's room feeling rather troubled.
Everything he'd told me was true, it just hurt having to hear it from my son. I went downstairs where Alex was lying on the couch texting away on his phone— as always.
"How'd it go? Are you kicking him out?"
I'd forgotten all about what I was yelling at him for, the condom.
"Kicking him out? No...I talked to him about it though. We talked about some other things too."
"Cool." He said barely paying attention.
"Alex."
"Yes dear?"
"Wh- who are you texting?" I asked reluctantly. I silently hoped I hadn't agitated him.
He placed his phone down next to him and looked at me.
"This shit again? Really?"
"Don't say this shit again like it was nothing last time. Who are you texting Alex? I'm not grilling you, I just want to know."
"A friend from college, we're catching up."
"A male friend, right?"
"A lot of men went to UoT, Christian."
I took a deep breath and prepared myself for the hell that was about to be raised.
"Let me see the conversation." I said calmly.
"What happened to not grilling me-"
"I am your husband, I deserve to know what's going on and who you're talking to. Let me see."
"Fine. Don't say I didn't try and stop you." He said throwing the phone at me and going upstairs.
I looked at the messages that were still pulled up.
Alex: I miss seeing you, always kind of had a crush on you in college haha
Isaac: oh really? Haha. I miss seeing you too, on your Facebook it says your married though 😞bummer lol
Alex: we're not really together anymore, he just won't sign the divorce papers
Isaac: man I've been through that with my ex wife. Glad to know you're single though..gives me a couple of ideas.
I just about threw and shattered the phone I was so furious. I kept scrolling and pictures were exchanged. Ones I don't even want to mention. I felt sick to my stomach how disgusted I was.
They made plans to meet later tonight. I looked at the location the guy sent and sent a message.
Is it okay if I come see you now?
He responded in seconds.
Even better :) don't forget what I told you to bring
I rolled my eyes and shoved the phone in my pocket. I quietly went upstairs and peeked in my room, Alex was on his MacBook on FaceTime ranting about how I'm so insecure.
I went to Christopher's room where he was in the bed on his phone.
"Chris I'm about to go somewhere, you're about to be eighteen... I need you to go with me in case shit goes left."
"Uh??"
"It probably won't, but just ride with me."
He nodded his head and climbed out of bed, threw a hoodie on and followed me downstairs.
