Chapter 1-- AS ALWAYS
"How's the flight Aeon?" My aunt enveloped her arms to me and flashed a motherly smile.
"It was fine." I place my baggage at the floor beside the couch.
Aunt Helena giggled. "We all know here that you have fear on heights, its alright to say its not okay, Aeon."
"Hay, kayo talaga. 'Wag niyo na po ipaalala, baka kumalat pa yung sikreto ko." I laughed as I sat on the couch, ugh. Until now, I feel I'm gonna vomit. My stomach is twisting upside down.
"Wag ka magalala, hindi ko naman bababuyin ang bad boy image mo." Ginulo niya ang buhok ko tapos ay naglakad malapit sa hagdanan. "Echo, bumaba ka nga dito, nandito na si kuya Aeon mo!" Aunt yelled that immedietely followed by The sound of slamming of door.
My eyes roamed to the house were I grew and were I learn how to walk and talk. Its different, the style and the colors. Nagbago na pala ang taste ni Auntie, Last time I checked she was trully inloved with bold colors. Ngayon, everything was seemed coloured peach and light colors.
Madami nagbago sa bahay na kinalakihan ko. Different wall color, It was repainted color sky blue . The appliances were also not at the same places I last saw before I went to States.
Narinig ko ang mabibilis na yabag ng paa na pababa sa hagdan. "Kuya Aeon!"
"Echo! Whoah! You've grown up!" I commented as the kid came near to me then we did our brother shakehands.
"Maabutan ko na nga yung height mo eh." Ngumiti siya at tsaka umupo sa katapat kong sofa.
10 years old siya ng iwan ko siya papunta sa ibang bansa and now that I'm back after 8 years Echo really did matured, his height are way more taller than before. Naalala ko nga nabu-bully pa yan noon kasi ang liit. Medyo naging moreno din siya ngayon.
"Yumabang ka na rin pala?" Pang-aasar ko.
Natawa siya. "Namana sayo eh."
Nagkwentuhan kami. Ah, let me correct that. Actually, he's the only one who do the talking and all I do was to comment and laugh. Wala naman akong maikwento. Nalaman kong naging varsity siya sa basketball team nila. At marami na din siyang naging girlfriend. Aba, matinde.
"Aeon, kumain na ba?" lumipat ang tngin ko kay Uncle Gerald na naglalakad palapit sa amin. Agad akong tumayo at nagmano sa kanya.
"Opo, kayo po?"
"Oo, kakakain lang namin. Kamusta?"
"Okay lang po, Si Aeon parin, wala namang nagbago." sagot ko.
"Wala daw, eh ang daming babaeng nali-link sayo eh." Auntie Helena walk towards us while wearing her apron.
Masaya ako na kahit madaming nagbago sa bahay ay walang nagbago sa pakikitungo nila sakin. Same, like how they treated Echo--treated like their own son.
