Chapter 7-- Skys and Stars
"Sorry for being late, there's just an emergency happened at.. Aeon?" Nagtaas ako ng tingin at nakita ko ang kaklase ko dati.
He seem shocked and amused seeing me after 8 years. I actually didn't expect him to be here. Its kinda odd for me to see the captain ball way back in my highschool days is currently a respectful business man in corporate attire.
"Whoah, hindi ko alam na ikaw pala yung sinasabi ni papa na magiging model namin." He laughed while wiping his sweat on his forehead using hanky. Inayos niya yung suit niya at nilabas ang briefcase tsaka kinuha ang contract.
"Its nice to see you again, Rio." I said.
"You know each other?" My manager asked me.
I nodded. "He was my rival, in sports and in popularity."
"And in love." Rio added.
I just shook my head. Minutes later Rio began discussing about the terms and agreement about our contract, I didn't bother to listen. Its up to my manager to understand the pros and cons. I don't have too think about it that much, besides, I know Rio for how many years.
After I signed the contract, Rio ask me to have coffee. We walked to the starbucks near at their company. I ordered Caramel machiato while Rio bought expresso.
"So kamusta na si Irene?"
Gusto kong matawa kay Rio. "Hindi mo man lang ako kinamusta? After all these years, you're still inlove with her?"
"Okay, don't be jealous at me. Baka nga kasal na kayo eh." He said bitterly just like his coffee.
I shrugged. "We broke up after we graduated. Matagal na kaming wala."
He almost spit out the drink so I glared at him. He coughed and apologized. "I don't know! After I transferred to other school, all the news and connection were cut."
"C'mon, just tell you were just so bitter thats why you transfered."
"Fine, but don't talk like you and Irene had your happpily ever after. You broke up."
"Yeah." I sip then look at the people walking by and crossing the pedestrian lane.
"I can't believe it. You are so inlove. You ranked top 22 in over all school exam, you've changed a lot for better then it ended like this, what a nice twist." He commented.
I don't know if he feel sorry for me or happy because me and the girl she adore is finally apart. The hell I care.
"And after we ended our relationship I became way better than the better I am you were mentioning before."
He look at me with questioning in his eyes. "Really?"
