Wish

The cold seawater touches my feet as soon as the waves arrive the shore. I let my hair blown by the wind. Wearing only the blue bikini, Theo hold my hand—guiding me to the sea. With a baby bump and the scenery ahead of me, we look like a newlywed couple, who is having a honeymoon right now.

Hindi ito storya sa isang fairytale book. Hindi ako isang Disney princess at hindi siya ang aking prinsepe. Hindi ito isang pelikula at ako ang bida. This is the reality. Kung saan, ako— Corinthian Zia Chavez, after an almost 6 years of being in a relationship, I ended it because of the vague reason. And now? Being pregnant to someone I barely knew.

I accepted my fate with wholeheartedly. I began living it and filled it with a new memories.

"Buntis ako, baks. May dinadala ako." Sabay turo ko sa tiyan.

He look at my tummy. His lips slowly curving and form into a thin smile. He glance at me and I could see the glint of happiness in his eyes.

"okay." Pagsang-ayon niya sa akin.

Umupo ako, para mabasa. Ganon din siya. I rolled my eyes. Bakit pa, palagi niya nalang ako ginagaya? Nakakabanas paminsan eh.

"Sorry about earlier..." panimula niya habang nilalaro ang mga buhangin sa ilalim nang dagat.

"ha?"

Napatingin siya sa akin. "Sorry doon sa tinanong ni Laira." Napaismid siya nang banggitin ang pangalan nang ex niya.

Napatango ako. Bakit niya kailangan mag sorry? "ayos lang. Normal lang naman 'yun"

"ah.." napatango siya at bumuntong hininga. I wonder what is he thinking right now. Ano kaya ang pumapasok sa isipan niya. Ang hirap niya rin kasi basahin pa minsan. "Ayos lang"

Tumaas ang kilay ko sa sinagot niya. " Ayos lang? 'yun lang?"

"Ayos lang. Bakit, may dapat pa ba akong sabihin bukod sa ayos lang?" tanong niya pabalik.

I am tempted to open my mouth and say yes, but I just close it and decided not to comment. Nag eexpct ba ako na iba ang sasabihin niya? Oo. I am expecting him to say that he still love him, despite of what happen. I am still expecting him to be worried about her. I am expecting him to do that and let my heart eat up in pain.
