Slim sent me a message to meet him at the park. He wanted to meet in person and not give me any information over the phone. Slim wanted to discuss some of the leads that he found concerning those letters that I received. I pulled up in the parking spot and before getting out of the car, I had a strange feeling. It was a feeling of uneasiness that was too strong to ignore. I texted Slim to see if her was here already. He texted me back and told me to come down the dirt road and pass the wooden bench. After reading the text, I locked my car and went to meet Slim.
I came to the dirt road and saw the wooden bench. Slowly, I looked around to see if he was hiding. He always liked to scare me but, he was a kid at heart. I walked past the wooden bench and I heard footsteps.

"The time I last saw you, let me guess." He strokes his chin with his finger. He walks up to me and we embraced each other like old times. "We saw each other during college remember?" I replied. With a nod he slapped me on the back as we started to walk along the dirt trail. "Any leads?" I asked.
"There is. As a matter of fact there is only one."
Really?" I was shocked that there was only one lead. However, the look across Slim's face was serious. "Jin, the PI found out that the letters are from Meghan."
"How do you know?"
"Because this has been going on too long to be anything else. Also, we checked the postmark and the post office cameras. She was seen dropping off the letters off on the same date. Jin, this is not a coincidence." He knew that we needed to prepare since Meghan knew my address. I gave Slim a slight bow and we started to walk back to my car. "I'll make sure to track her but I think you may want to move out." Slim stated with a sad look on his face. I understood what Slim was telling me but I've moved on. "Thanks Slim, if there's more information don't hesitate." I said.
We shook hands and I went back home. As soon as I walked in the door, I sat on the couch thinking about Meghan. I remember what happened that day and how it made me feel. I thought that it was my fault and we could work through our problems but I never thought that she would be just like the others.
💭FLASHBACK💭
When I met her at the at the gas station, I thought she was angel. She needed a jump and I wanted to help her. Over time we started dating and moved in with each other. However, after a few years Meghan and I started arguing back and forth. For weeks, I've been working really hard to take her on a nice vacation since she was stressed out from work.
One day, after our argument, I decided to surprise Meghan with flowers and a romantic dinner. I took off work and made reservations. Although it's expensive, she's worth every penny. Rushing home, I had to get ready for a night that was going to change our lives together. I walked upstairs to our bedroom and heard her asking someone to leave. Confused, I stood there listening. I peeked from behind the cracked door and I saw a man in our bed. While putting her clothes back on, she was telling him to leave before I came home.
