Jin's POV

After leaving Dae's at Buddies the other day, I was upset that I didn't confess sooner. She fell asleep after she told me what happened to her. I called Slim to cover for me at work because I wanted to stay with Dae a little longer before I went to work. Slim made sure that I understood that I had to be there before the conference which was in a few hours. I made sure that I was on there before the meeting started but I'm going to check on Dae to make sure she's alright after my shift. Time didn't pass fast enough. I was dragging myself the rest of the day. I know its because I can't wait to meet Dae after work. She was sleeping when I left.

I dropped off my reports and checked my schedule before I went back to my office to lock up. I had to take some paperwork that Slim wanted me to look at. I went to my car. I made a stop at the gas station before I went to Dae's apartment. I went to her apartment and she was home. I knew from the look of her puffy eyes that she's been crying. I wiped her tears from her eyes.

"Nae salang, wake up?" I shook Dae's shoulder lightly and she opened her eyes. "Im sorry, I didn't mean to fall asleep" she said in a soft voice. I had to smile watching her sleep. I pulled her closer to me and held her in my arms. In that cozy embrace, when we cuddled up together, the rest of our problems and the anxieties of the world ceased to exist. We were each other's sanctuary, each other's safe place. The aura that surrounds us was a cosy vibe where we found our serenity, fortitude that supports a sustainable sense of true happiness. I kissed her on the lips and immediately she shivered in my arms. I watched the chills appear on her arms.

"Do you want a blanket?" She nods her head and tells me that there was a big yellow blanket in her room at the top of the closet. Giving her a quick peck on the lips, I rushed to the closet. When I opened the door, it was right there. I pulled the blanket from the top shelf and a purse fell to the floor. It looked like some papers fell out and a tube of lipstick rolled to the back of the closet. The papers that fell looked like documents for an office building and I had to get on my hands and knees to get her lipstick. I noticed an unusual old box sitting on the floor behind all her clothes.

I was curious as to why she has an old shoe box in her closet when all her shoes were lined up in dust free boxes

I was curious as to why she has an old shoe box in her closet when all her shoes were lined up in dust free boxes. I take the top off and see broken pieces of wood. As I go through the broken pieces, I realize that it's a shattered violin. I sit on Dae's bed trying to figure out her reason for keeping this hidden. It suddenly hits me and it makes perfect sense. I remember what she said when she told me about the abuse. When I went back to the living room, Dae was asleep on the couch. She looks so beautiful. I sat next to her and wrapped the blanket around us. Laying on my chest, I kissed her lips.
