After that Gala last week Lee told me that he was dating Serene and he was happy that they were finally official. At that moment, I knew that I wanted to ask Dae to be my girlfriend. With my work schedule, I have to see Dae tonight. I have to try harder and remember that all women are not the same. I was blinded by love when I was with my ex girlfriend. Mike and Lee didn't like her from the beginning but, I ignored it. Lee and Mike told me that I should confess to Dae if I wanted to be with her. So, I was determined to make her mine tonight and nothing was going to change my mind. Looking at my watch I see that it was time for me to go home.
It's been pouring down like crazy and I had to make sure that I looked nice. Becca told me that Dae was at her apartment since she was off work today. I took my keys and wallet off the table before heading to the parking garage. The temperature started to drop once I warmed up the car. I'm going to tell Dae how I feel about her because I cannot sit back and let Dr. Park have her. I tried to fight my feelings but, I couldn't help falling for her when I saw her at Mike's house.
I pulled up and there was a fancy car parked out front. Calling Dae's phone, she didn't pick up. I was trying to get her to buzz me in. Before walking back to my car, there was a man walking towards the door. Rushing out the car, I offered to assist him inside once I noticed he had several grocery bags. I knew he would agree since he was elderly. He held the door open as I carried several bags to the elevator. "Thanks for your help young man."
"No problem." I responded with a bow and went back to the elevator. Pressing the button for the fifth floor, I waited for the doors to open. Once the elevator reached the fifth floor, I walked to apartment fifty-one and stood at her door. Taking a deep breath, I knocked. As the door opens, my eyes met with a man with flowers in his hands. Greeting me with a "What's up?" I froze in place. I felt my past heartache starting to resurface. Immediately, I stormed off walking as fast as I could back to my car. "How can I be so stupid?" On my way to Mike's house, I asked myself that question over and over again. Starting to recall that painful memory from years ago, I felt rage.
💭FLASHBACK💭
After our argument, I decided to surprise Meghan with flowers and a romantic dinner. I took off work and made reservations for us. Although it's expensive, she's worth every penny. Rushing home, I had to get ready for our a night that was going to change our lives together.
I opened the door and there's a trail of clothes on the stairs. Confused, I walked upstairs and I hear Megan talking to someone. I peeked from behind the cracked the door and I see a man in our bed. While putting her clothes back on, she was telling him to leave before I came home.

I made sure to cancel the reservation and called the jeweler to tell him that I didn't want the ring. I was angry with myself and that day I made myself promise that I wouldn't give myself to a woman. I would take things slow and she would have to earn my trust. Deep down I knew that she was seeing someone else but, I didn't want to believe it.
