There was a scheduled surgery for today but, Ri informed me that Buddies had new smoothies that I should try. Since my afternoon was open because the surgery was cancelled there was a package from Lab Corps that arrived for me. I knew it was blood work from last week. I told Ri to run another order for blood work for the other surgeries that were scheduled for next week. The doctor's office called to see if I wanted to come in today for my annual breast exam. Since there was nothing to do this afternoon, accepted the appointment at the last minute.
Hopefully Seo will go back home today because she was spending too much time at Jin's office. Jin and I were living in his condo since we were still looking for a house. There was a beautiful house that had an amazing view of the bridge but someone beat us to it.
Jin was working on another forensic case today and had to check on a few things. I'm glad that there is no traffic because I made it to my appointment early. It seemed like time stopped after I checked in. My hands were sweating and I couldn't stop thinking about the final case.
The nurse called my name and I followed him down the hall. I was put into the room and had blood drawn and a urine sample. The nurse informed me that the doctor will be in shortly to discuss the results of my mammogram that I had on my last visit.
One hour later
"Can I take another test?"
"We can run another test but the results are pretty accurate. I want you to understand that with these other tests, it takes longer to get the results."
I'm just in shock. I wasn't ready to deal with this. This was the same situation my aunt was in unfortunately, she died. Walking out the doctor's office, I received an incoming call from Ri. There was some paperwork that didn't go through by email so I have to mail them off. Wiping the tears from my eyes, I informed Ri that I was on my way to the office. This wasn't something that I prepared myself for.
After several failed attempts, Jin didn't answer his phone. I called Seo to see if she was with him since she was in town but, I know she's going to hang up on me anyway. I called her anyway and she never picked up. As a result, I sent Jin a text message. He should be finishing up so, I went to my office to check over some documents.

"Okay, here are the release forms but, for some reason Molly said that it didn't go through. We have to send these papers off for the competition with VCA because the deadline is tomorrow."
"Don't worry, we can fax the papers instead. I already signed them and Dr. Park confirmed."
Ri faxed our documents for the competition and by the time she called, someone answered the phone on their way out. Ri begged them to check the fax machine. By the skin of our teeth, they processed the paperwork for us. I thanked Ri and went to Buddies Café before meeting Serene and Lee for dinner tonight.
