"Will you be my girlfriend?" The moment she realized what I asked, she paused. "Really?" she replied. At a loss for words, I sat there. It's not that I don't want this, it's that I want her so much I'm afraid to mess it up. That's why I was being hesitant. I didn't want her to think that I didn't like her. Feeling rejected before she opened her mouth to speak again. Trying to save my pride I force a smile on my face. "If you don't like me it's-
"Jin of course I will. I already liked you." She says with a smile before I could finish my sentence. Taking a deep breath, I was relieved. When I confessed to her and she accepted, it was as if her voice warmed me up inside my body. There was a soothing and sexy was Dae would look at me. Looking at her eyes and her smile made my body relax. There was a calm that came over me as well as desire.
"Feel better now?"
"Yeah, I was afraid that you were going to say no. I thought you liked Dr. Park." The moment I said his name, she looked into my eyes.
"Hang on, you thought Dr. Park was-
She started to laugh but failed to hide it. Giving me the "you can't be serious" look. Shaking her head side to side, she has no intention of breaking eye contact.
"What? Did I say something funny?"
"Jin, I'm not his type. I thought he was sending me flowers but I was wrong."
Do you know who sent them to you?" I swallowed that anger when Dae thought Dr. Park sent her flowers. It pissed me off thinking that another man wanted her attention. Trying to drink more lemonade to cool off, the anger grew in my belly causing me to bite my lip. I'll never forget the way looks at Dae when they're together. His eyes always wonders over her body as if he was turned on by her. I knew that an inferno was stirring in my gut but the only thing that calmed me down was knowing Dae is off limits.
"I don't know who sent them but I'm not a flower person anyway."
"I'm glad to know that because you're your mine now." I smiled teasingly.
She chuckled at my remark and I made sure that we didn't speak of Jong during the remainder of our break. I was going back home after our break and Dae had to go back to work. Dae made sure to order muffins before going back to work.
Dae's POV
Jin went back to work and I went back to the clinic. As soon as I came in the door Ri has more flowers in her hands. I made sure that I didn't drop the bag that contained the muffins that I brought. They were fresh out of the oven and I knew how much Ri loved to eat. As soon as I sat my desk, Ri follows behind me still holding the flowers in her hands. At this moment I gave up trying to find out who this secret admirer was. Ri sat down and placed the flowers on my desk. "I'm starting to think that this is some kind of joke."
"I don't think so. Do you want me to leave them in your office?"
"Maybe the front desk will be better. I think it will look nice there."
"Ok. I have to tell you something but we'll talk later." Ri whispered. I can tell she was frustrated about something. When she acts like this, she had to set someone straight. She probably had a huge argument with Todd again. Marriage is a blessing but it's hard work too.
