Dae's POV (Tony above)
Going to several arcades, Tony and I have been spending more time together but Ye-Jun was growing on him. It was nice for Tony to take him out sometimes and he surprised me when they came back with matching hair cuts. The day before his performance, there was a advertisement promo for the tour. He had a performance downtown with Ace and invited me to come. Unfortunately, Ye-Jun got sick so I made sure to stay home and take care of him. I decided to watch his performance on television.
Holding Ye-Jun in my arms, we sat on the couch when the promo started. When he walked on the stage, I noticed that he was wearing the sunglasses I brought him before he went to rehab. It was a gift that I brought and I told him that when he goes on tour, Tae and I would cheer him on but he had to look cool. Hearing fans scream before he walked to the microphone, my heart filled with happiness knowing that he was able to live his dream despite his hardships.
After his performance, he backed away from the microphone and it was time for commercials. Watching the show, Ye-Jun and I clapped to the beat. He was feeling better but I wanted him to rest more. After taking his medicine, he fell asleep in my arms. Watching him sleep with his mouth open reminded me of Jin. It was getting late and I wanted to take Ye-Jun to his room when I turned off the television. Suddenly, a loud knock on the door startled me and Ye-Jun was asleep on the couch. I knew that the feeling I had about answering the door felt different. Cautious, my cell phone buzzed and it was a text from Tony.
It's me. I have something for u so open the door
what is it?
Come find out
y do I have a bad feeling about this
you're gonna luv it
how do u know that?
trust me
gimme a sec
When I opened the door, there he was with the biggest smile on his face. Holding bags of food we looked at each other and we both laughed. Once he came in, he took off his shoes and I took the bags to the living room. Looking through each container reminded me of our childhood. Sitting on the floor by the couch, it was like old times. We already knew what the other person needed before asking for it. Placing a bowl of Japchae in front of me, he already picked out the egg before I had a chance to ask. Setting a glass of milk next to his bowl of Jjambbong, we looked at each other and smiled. I remember the distinctive red color when he refused to admit that it was spicy. Explaining that the tears in his eyes was because I moved in with him but, I knew it was the spicy noodles. Since then, I made sure that he had milk to drink with it.
"Remember the first time I cooked for you?" He asked
"Yeah. I had a fever and you made Samgyetang for me."
"Taking care of you as your hus-
He stopped himself and looked down at his chopsticks. Our days as kids, we faced bullying, abuse and addiction. We've been through so much together but there were so many memories that made smile. When he saw that, he smiled back. I asked him about his nightmares and if they came back. Scratching his nose, he denied it but, I knew he was lying to me. With a sigh, we continued to eat in silence.
