Dae's POV (Dr. Jong Park above)
As scheduled, Jong wanted me to come in his office while everyone was preparing to go home. Although there were only a few people here to clean up, I made sure to clean the kennels and update the schedules for tomorrow. Thinking to myself, I wanted my license back. Late nights studying in college and sacrificing so much was worth it but, to loose everything so fast caught me off guard. Before walking into Dr. Park's office, I knocked on the door.
"Come in."
Turning the handle slowly, I eased in with caution. Molly was still working with Dr. Park and I didn't want to cause any issues. Smiling from his desk, he motioned me to have a seat. Smiling back, I sat down and leaned towards him.
"You're in a good mood Dr. Park."
"Why would you say that?"
"Because the corners of your mouth turned upwards. What's up?"
"There was a package that came for you."
"A package?"
Reaching in his desk, he gives me a small gift box addressed to me. Confused, I looked back at Jong before he walked out the door. I thought he was going to give me an update about my license however, this gift box had something loose in it when I shook it near my ear to see if I heard anything. Pondering about the contents inside, it made me wonder who would send me this. Is it from that same secret admirer that sent me those flowers?
When I opened the box, there was a note inside. Immediately, I knew who sent this. The same person that sent me those flowers sent this too. I recognized the handwriting and I know for a fact that it's him but, why didn't I notice it at first? There's only one person that I know that writes like this and it's an identical match to the handwriting that came with those flowers that were sent to my office. Checking the internet, I searched for an address and wrote it down before rushing to the parking garage.
One hour later
Watching the icon on my GPS, I continued to follow the directions. The closer the icon gets to my destination, my hands started to shake causing me to grip onto the steering wheel. Once I parked, I stood face to face with the performing arts center but, I don't know why I feel sad. Looking around, I turned the corner and there was a long corridor. The sound of music played and the melody became louder once I leaned on the door of room three. When I heard someone singing, my heart skips a beat. When I open the door, it look like a rehearsal was going on. Each step I made brought me closer to the stage. Suddenly, I hear singing again and my feet glued to the floor and my body became stiff.
"ALRIGHT! BREAK TIME!!
"Do we need to do another sound check?"
"It seems like it. Before we do that, I need you to focus."
I knew there were a few people talking but there was that voice that I will always remember. I walked to the edge of the stage and pulled back the curtain. My jaw dropped when our eyes met after so many years.
