What happens when jealousy come in-between family? Dae, Serene and Becca have to face their own hardships. Although they have each other, is sisterhood enough for them to get through tragedy, trials and betrayal?
After a long day of work and several rejections for office buildings, I took a nice hot bubble bath to relax. Sliding myself deeper into the tub, the water covers my body up to my neck. Soaking in heated water, feeling the tension slowly melt away, breathing in the aroma sweet vanilla. Listening to soothing music, I started to forget about the competition. It will either make us or break us but, I want to have a nice hot bath right now and not worry for a few more minutes.
Remembering that Jin had a surprise for me, I agreed to go over his house for dinner. Something wasn't right with Jin. He was acting strange when he called me on my lunch break. Asking me questions like:
"Did anything unusual happen at work?"
"Have you received any strange phone calls?"
"Are you going to leave the office for lunch?"
When I thought about it, I was confused. Maybe he was asking me these questions to make sure that I was clueless about my surprise. Since we were having dinner, I didn't want to spoil my appetite so, I had a salad for lunch which I ate in my office with Ri. Once I dried my hair and wrapped a towel around my body, I walked out of the bathroom.
When someone knocked on my door, it startled me. My towel fell to the floor. When I head another knock, I wrapped myself again with the towel that was on the floor. Standing on my tippy toes, I looked through the peephole. It looked like a delivery man in a uniform.
"Who is it?" I asked in a raised tone. He looked at the package and said:
"Delivery for Dr. Dae."
Still looking through the peephole, I waited to see if I can read his name tag that was on his shirt. Of course I couldn't but, it was worth a try. I crack the door but left the chain on of course. I didn't know who this man was and he's at my door with a package. I didn't order anything and if was for work, usually I'll have it delivered at the office. Making sure that I get a good look at him, I wanted to give a description to the police so they can find him quickly if needed.
He hands me a clipboard for me to sign. Taking the clipboard from him through the small crack, I signed for the delivery after reading over it first.
"Ok, here you go. Have a good day."
"Yes, thank you sir."
He walked of whistling to himself and I closed the front door. The box is beautiful but, I see that it has Jin's handwriting on it. Reaching for my cellphone, I texted Jin.
Jin-ssi.
Nae salang.
How is work?
Just finished an autopsy. You ok?
I don't know. Did you send me a box with your handwriting on it?
Yes. I brought it for you. It's for our dinner tonight. I'll talk to you later.
Okay
After I responded, I sat the box on the table. It was a nice surprise for Jin to buy me a gift but, I had a feeling that he wasn't his usual self. I didn't want to assume that he was hiding something from me but, I couldn't shake this feeling.
