"Nerves"
Caitlin’s POV
I smoothed down the dress and took on last look in the mirror. It fit good…just tight, it was supposed to be, though. Austin picked out a tight black dress. I should have known. I turned around and grabbed the other option off the toilet seat and slipped it on. It was a plain pink skirt and a pink top. It was very dressy though. It looked like a dress, but if I raised my arms a little it would show a strip of my stomach.
I like this one better.
I opened the door and Austin’s head popped up looking away from his phone.
“Woah.” He mumbled.
“What?” I asked like I didn’t hear him.
“Nothing…Ready?”
“Are you sure it would-“
“You promised.” He stopped and turned to me in the doorway.
I sighed and followed him to the car.
Thirty minutes later…
“It’s a little club.”
I swallowed hard and looked forward. I saw the beautiful stars and below it a lit up sign that pointed to the entrance of the club. I could already here the music. I really don’t want to do this. Last time I was in this situation, with Austin, it didn’t turn out well.
“You okay?”
I whipped my head to look at Austin. He placed his hand over mine, which was clutching the seat.
I nodded. He just sighed and got out of the car. He came over and opened the door for me. I didn’t move though, I looked back up at the club.
“Caitlin.” He sighed again. I looked at him. “If you really don’t want to we don’t have to. I just want to do something thrilling and crazy…With you.” He said standing in the door way of the car on my side.
“You’re right…Definitely right. You brought me here to have fun. This will be fun…Right?” I spoke fast.
“It’ll be fun.” He laughed and dropped his head. “You ready, now?”
I grabbed his hand and jumped down to the ground. My heels clicked when they hit the pavement.
“You’ve been to a club before, right?”
“Uh no.” I shrugged.
“Well you’ve been to a party before, I know that.” He chuckled a little. He looked at me. I wasn’t laughing, and my face was a little pissed off and worried out of my mind. He stopped and grabbed my hand. “I can assure you nothing will happen. I’m not going to let go of your hand for a while.” He smiled. I smiled too and he opened the door for me, not letting go.
I stopped. There were a few bars in this huge room, a gigantic dance floor, and the floor lit up with different colored lights. The music was bolting out of the speakers.
“Let’s start with a drink. Okay?” He tugged on my hand a little and led me through the sweaty bodies on the dance floor. We reached the bar and sat in two chairs. I looked around still scared, worried, and dumbfounded.
“Here you are.” The bartender gave us two drinks. I guess Austin ordered for me when I was busy looking around. But I just looked around noticing everything in this huge, loud area.
