"He Won't Be Stopped"

Caitlin’s POV

I pulled the collared shirt over my body. I fixed the buttons so they buttoned at the very top. I looked in the mirror.

It wasn’t enough.

Half on one bruise was still visible.

I took it off and put a zip up hoodie on instead.

The bruises Cam left were unnoticeable. Austin shouldn’t suspect a thing.

I slipped on some Converse and grabbed my keys.

I grabbed the door knob and my phone started buzzing in my back pocket. I expected it was Austin. I was about fifteen minutes late.

I pulled it out and saw Cam’s name light up the screen. My throat went dry and my hands shook as I answered his call. If I didn’t I knew I would be punished soon.

“Hello?”

“Sparks…How are you?”

“Fine.” I kept my voice low.

“Plan changed.”

“What do you mean?” I leaned against my door.

“We won’t be traveling for this mission about your mom’s hidden treasure. So you will continue working normally. We have a lead for where to look for the money, and it’ll be less suspicious. Just informing you.” He said.

“Okay.” I simply said.

“Well bye then.” And he hung up…Okay then.

I walked outside and jumped in my car.

And cue my phone buzzing me.

“Hello?” I answered with a slight grin on my face. Could you guess who was calling?

“Where are you?”

“Pulling in your driveway.” I laughed.

“You’re still late.”

“Oh shut up and let me in.” I laughed and hung up.

I walked to the door and he opened in on cue.

“You look nice.” I smiled at him.

He was wearing a black and red flannel around his waist with a black v-neck as usual, some dark wash jeans with a few rips, and some random pair of shoes.

“Very Tumblr.” I grinned.

He giggled and let me in.

“And you are wearing a hoodie…Its like seven five degrees out today. Why?” He laughed.

My grin dropped and I looked at the ground and back at him. “I was cold.”

“Okay…” He trailed off and walked into the living room and I followed.

“So what are we-“

I stopped when I saw the living room. It was newly furnished from the last time I was here which was a while. But the main aspect was that there were pillows and blanket scattered all over the room, two huge bowls of popcorn, and everyone one of my favorite candies. Then to top it off…a big stack of movies to occupy us.

“Is it me or is that all my favorite candy?”

“It’s only your favs.” He smiled.

“Thanks you…I needed something to relax me and I think this we be it.” I smiled.
