"Dirty Liar"

Caitlin’s POV

“Chinese?” He asked placing the bag on the counter.

“I’m not hungry anymore.” I said quietly walking to the fridge.

“Caitlin, the baby isn’t coming back so forget it.” He said annoyed.

I whipped my whole body around.

“You did not just say that to me. What happened to the guy who said it wasn’t meant to be, huh?” I said louder.

“I didn’t mean to say it like that.”

“Well you did, and do you know how much that just shattered my insides?”

“Shattered your insides?” He laughed.

“Stop laughing!” I yelled and tears started to form.

“I’m sorry, sorry. I shouldn’t have said that.” He said trying to hide a smile.

“You’re a jerk.” I folded my arms.

“No, no, no. Don’t start this right now. Caitlin I was joking, I thought you could handle it.” He unfolded my arms for me and looked down at me. “I’m sorry. I didn’t know you would take it that hard. Sorry.”

He looked sincerely sorry. But I still can’t believe he said that. It made me feel so much worse about the whole situation, but I need to push that matter aside for now and worry about Camila and Austin.

Camila and I are actually really good friends. I text her, go to her shows, and hang out with her a lot. As much as we can actually. I just don’t know what to think.

“Now let’s eat.” Austin rubbed his hands together.

“Not hungry.” I repeated quietly.

“Come on Caitlin, just eat with me.”

“No.” I stood behind the counter has he shot me daggers through his eyes.

“What’s up your ass?” He asked me in the most bitter tone he could.

“I’ll tell you when you tell me what’s up yours.”

“You and your bitchy attitude. And I’d like to shove something else up your ass.” He smirked.

“You’re just a-“

“Jerk? I know.” He interrupted me.

“I was going to say bastard!” I yelled at him.

“What’s wrong with you?” He stood up from the table holding the box of noodles getting serious.

“You and your secrets.” I said on the bridge of tears. Why am I crying all the time? Don’t cry baby!

He laughed again. “What are these secrets I’m keeping?” He said scooping up some noodles.

“I’m not even going to get into the gang secret, but I’m focusing on Camila.” I narrowed my eyes and lowered my eyebrows.

His eyes just widened.

“Caitlin, don’t freak out.”

“Too late. You’ve got my blood boiling already.”

“It was all Mike’s idea. It’s a publicity stunt. I was forced to do it. She knows its fake. She knows about you and she knows her limits. Its fake Caitlin. Calm down.”
