"Red Flag"

Caitlin’s POV

“Look at the pictures.” He told him.

Austin’s eyes landed on the TV to look at the pictures I guess they had. I wasn’t looking at the TV. I was standing behind it, frozen, just staring at Austin.

“Look familiar?” Robert spoke, meaning that the so called person I was ‘cheating’ on Austin with looked familiar.

Austin head went back to the TV. What he did next surprised me.

He started chuckling. Then Robert joined him.

“I should have known you won’t cheat on me.” Austin looked at me and stopped laughing a little.

I was confused so I walked up, next to him, and looked at the TV.

Then I started laughing.

“They thought I was cheating on you with Alex.” I laughed.

“I’m sorry I yelled babe. I’m still a little worked up from eariler.” He scratched the back on his neck.

“We can forget about earlier.” I put my hands on his shoulders.

“Deal.” He smiled and leaned in, but didn’t quite make it to my lips.

“Uh Austin.” Robert spoke and Austin broke the gaze me and Austin were sharing. “Alex wants to talk to you.” He spoke weirdly.

“Alright thanks. I’ll meet you in my room Caitlin.”He told me as he jogged up the stairs.

“Uh okay.” I spoke quietly and fell back on the couch, with a sigh knowing he didn’t hear me.

“What’s wrong?” Robert asked laughing a little.

I sat up straight, folded my hands together, and rested my elbows on my knees. I stared at him.

“What’s going on?” I repeated his question. He looked confused. “Why don’t you tell me?” I glared at him knowing something was up with Austin and narrowed my eyes.

“Robert! Get up here!” Austin yelled from upstairs.

“But-“

“Sorry Caitlin. Got to go.” He ran up the stairs leaving me alone in the living room with his bowl of cereal.

Austin’s POV

Once Robert got in the room Alex and I unzipped the duffle bag.

“Dude, Caitlin’s on to us. She knows something is up.” Robert said nervously.

“Sh*t.” I breathed out.

“You didn’t tell her yet?”Alex asked somewhat annoyed.

“I promised her I wouldn’t do any more gang work.”

“Well you broke that promise.” Alex chuckled and looked through the duffle bag of money. “Its short.” He spoke after a little while.

“What do you mean its short?” I pushed him out of the way and started counting.

He was right.

“We’re like three thousand short!”

“Shh.” Robert shushed me.
