"Dave's Fault"
Caitlin’s POV
“I’m never going to fall for any of your stupid ass tricks ever again.” I glared at my dad.
“Watch your mouth.” He pulled out a knife.
Why does everyone either pull out a knife or gun?
My dad and I are in a room together and I’m on the ground tied up by my ankles and wrists. All I know is that I woke up tied up in this room and my dad told me he was always working with Dave.
“Why am I here?”
“Why do you keep asking questions? Aren’t you scared?”
“You wouldn’t believe how many times I’ve been in a situation like this.” I looked up at him.
“Listen.” He paused and bent down towards me. “You’re bait. Dave is just using you, so if you do what we say then you could make it out alive.”
“Alive? What?” I asked confused.
The door burst open and Dave walked in.
“I need you in the other room.” He told my dad then he looked at me. “You stay here and don’t move. Trust me you don’t want to know what will happen.”
I gulped and he closed the door leaving me in the dark, dirty room.
Austin’s POV
My eyes slowly flickered open. I couldn’t see anything for a few seconds it was very blurry, but after every blink my vision got clearer.
And I saw Dave and Caitlin’s dad in front of me. I tried to get up and lung at them but my feet and hands were tied. Damn it.
“What?” I said using some attitude. I’ve gotten good at it, I’ve learned from Caitlin. I smirked in my mind.
“We need answers before we make your life a living hell.”
“And why would I answer these questions if you’re going to make my life horrible?” I cocked my head to the side.
“Because we can kill you.”
“Ohhh…I’m scared.” I said with no emotion what so ever.
“Or we could kill her.” He smirked. Dave was doing all the talking. I think Caitlin’s dad was just a helper and was giving him information of my address and things like that.
“You don’t touch her.” My eyebrows lowered, my voice angrier and deeper.
“You better answer our questions then.”
“Fine. Just don’t do anything to her or else.”
“Or else?” They both laughed and my face just held the same furious expression. “Someone has a weak spot.” They both chuckled and looked back at me.
“So where is the envelope?”
“Gone.”
“What does that mean?” Dave narrowed his eyes at me and squatted down to my level. I took my opportunity to kick both my legs up right up his legs. He stood up hunched over and groaned.
