“Blind”
Caitlin’s POV
“You know what?! I’m done!” He walked over to me, ripped the envelope from hands and threw it in the fire. Does he just want me to cry? “Why didn’t you let me die?!” He yelled in my face.
“Because I love you!” I yelled with the tears falling down my cheeks.
“You what?” He quieted down.
“I love you, that’s why! I f*cking love you! There I said it!” I sobbed.
I finally said it. I’m done. I told him.
“Go ahead tell me you told me so.”
“Wait you what?!” He yelled looking more confused than ever.
“Stop yelling at me!” I yelled back, but louder.
“You hate me.” He mumbled and ran a hand through his hair.
“Clearly I don’t anymore.” I looked down and wiped my cheeks.
“Well guess what?” He sounded angry…No scratch that, furious.
I looked up, but kept my eyes in the cold, moist sand, just behind the back porch of our beach house.
What is he going to do?
Another tear fell down my cheek and I opened my eyes.
Austin’s POV
“Clearly I don’t anymore.” She was crying. I made her cry…Again.
Should I tell her?
Hell ya! I’ve been waiting for this moment forever!
“Well guess what?” I asked somewhat harshly.
She moved her head up and just kept her eyes closed.
Now’s my chance.
Just do it! Grow some balls!
I listened to my head and took a step towards her.
I grabbed her waist, pulled her as close as I could bring her to me, and pressed my lips to hers. One hand around her waist and one pulling the back of her neck so I could kiss her.
Caitlin’s POV
The second I opened my eyes his lips hit mine. I’m not going to lie, but I was waiting for it. I wanted it, no matter how wrong that sounds. Trust me I don’t want that for a while.
But I was somewhat relieved when he kissed me. I’ve been craving this for years and years without even knowing it. He was the first person I really fell in love with and, I don’t think I ever stopped. He was the one. He was the one the whole time. I was too blind to see what was right in front of me. And that was my true feelings for him.
My eyes slowly closed and he was just about to pull away.
Crap! I didn’t kiss back! Stupid, stupid, stupid!
His lips left mine by a centimeter at the most, but I wasn’t going to let him think I wasn’t interested.
His arms fell to his sides and he was about to look me in the eye, but like I said, I’m not letting him off that easy.
I flung my arms around his neck, stood on my toes, and crashed my lips back onto his, where they belonged.
I felt him smile into the kiss and then before I knew it I was smiling as well. He re-wrapped his arms around my waist even tighter this time and pulled me even closer to him than before, if it was even possible.
