Chap 13. The Drive

Jonathan's pov.

I woke up and saw vanoss come out the bathroom with a towel around his waist. "What the hell are you doing?" I asked.

"What does it look like I'm doing?" He said.

"How did you even get clothes?" I asked looking at some clothes on the floor

"I compelled the person that worked at the store to let me have the clothes that I didn't pay for." He smiled.

"Wow good idea. Let's get caught while we do that." I said sarcastically

"We won't get caught, we'll be fine." He smirked.

"Shut up and get changed in the bathroom." I told him.

"You don't want me to change right here?" His smirk got bigger

"I will appreciate it if you didn't change right there." I said rolling my eyes. Vanoss dragged the towel down a little until I was able to see his V-line and a little bit of his thigh. "Vanoss I swear if you don't go to the bathroom I will snap your neck." I told him.

"OK, OK. I'll go." He winked. I put my head in my hands. "What did I get myself into?" I mumbled. I think I like it better when he's asleep. He's cute like that. Wait what? I stood up and walked out the door. Tyler, Brian, and Luke were sitting down in the lobby waiting for us.

"Took you guys long enough. Were you guys making out?" Luke asked.

"What?! No!" I yelled.

"Don't lie. You at least probably wanted to." Brian said

"In your dreams." I told him.

"Are you sure it's not in your dreams?" Tyler smirked.

"Fuck off." I told all of them.

"What are you guys talking about." Vanoss said walking towards us.

"Don't play stupid. You know what we were saying. Vampires have super hearing." I rolled my eyes

"Oh yeah. I forgot you was part vampire." Vanoss laughed.

"Whatever." I mumbled. I walked out the hotel and started following the purple smoke. The guys followed behind. I don't like them being here, but I guess with their help I will be able to kill the scientists. When I save everyone and find them a new spot for me and Bryce to stay in. Will leave so I won't bring any more trouble to them. I don't like the thought of it, but I will also give vanoss a bit of my blood to help with any vampire that gets bitten. I looked at Brian and he had an annoyed face.

"Brian, don't start complaining again. We just started walking." I said.

"Come on. How come we couldn't get a car or something?" Brian said.

"Yeah, that does make sense." Luke added.

"We're stupid." Tyler face palmed

"OK, go get a car then." I told Brian

"How?" He asked.

"Do what you always do, Compel." I answered.

"But... why do I have to do it?" He cried.

"Because you're the one that brought it up." I chuckled.

"Man. Fuck you guys." Brian said. Everyone started laughing. I looked at Vanoss. His laugh was cute. What is wrong with me!? Brian walked to the closest place to get a car. Well this is going to be very interesting. Brian came back with a cool van. It had giant speakers in the back and the van was black.

"Get in guys!" Brian yelled.

"You're stupid Brian. Get in the back, Delirious has to drive because he can only see the smoke." Tyler rolled his eyes.

"OK." Brian said getting out the driver's seat and walking to the back. I sat in the driver's seat and saw vanoss sitting next to me. "Great." I mumbled, sarcastically.

"What? Expecting someone else?" He smiled.

"I was hoping it wouldn't be you sitting next to me." I said rolling my eyes.

"Oh well. Let's get er' going." He said in a weird accent. I rolled my eyes again for the thousandth time today. I looked for the smoke, once a saw it I started to drive. I honestly don't know how long we've been driving. I paid attention to the smoke and when I first took my eyes off it, it is dark out. I looked around and saw everyone sleeping. I sighed and parked the car on the side of the road.

"What are you doing?" Vanoss asked.

"Taking a break." I told said. I looked at him and he was rubbing his eyes.

"I can drive if you want." He said.

"It's alright we all need to rest." I told him.

"But we need to get to everyone fast before they do anything to them." He said.

"If we don't get rest then we will be too exhausted and tired to fight." I told him. He got put the car, walked to my side and opened the door.

"I'm driving and that's final." He said.

"Van-"

"Please, delirious." He tilted his head a little. Stupid brown eyes. I sighed and walked out. He jumped into the driver seat and I sat in the passenger. He started driving and I slowly fell asleep. I woke up and looked at Vanoss.

"Morning." He said. I nodded my head and looked at the rest of the guys which were sleeping still. "You don't sleep much. It's only been an hour" he told me, not taking his eyes off the road.

"I don't know why I woke up." I said.

"You're worrying about things too much. Stop thinking." He said.

"I can't. I need to find them, everyone. I need to find my brother. We need to save them before something bad happens." I said.

"Calm down delirious. We will find them, I promise." He looked at me for a second and looked back towards the road. I sighed and looked out the window. I wasn't tired so I might as well stay up. I don't know what to expect when we get there. Would everyone be safe? injured? Brain washed? Tortured? Or even worse...dead? I can't. I would never forgive myself if they are dead or injured. And I hate to say it but I don't want these guys hurt either. I have to trap them somewhere so I can fight this myself. This all has to end even if I have to risk my life for it. Even if I can't stay with Bryce, I'll stay if it means him being free.
