Jonathan's pov
"Wha-what if they're de-dead." I said in between sobs. "What if they kill Bryce?" I didn't realize I said his name but I was fine with it. "I came here for no reason. I could have saved them. It should have been me, I should have been captured!" I yelled. Evan hugged me tight.
"We can still find them. There are still more places to check. Listen, no matter how hard you try to get rid of me I won't leave, I'm staying here, by your side every step of the way. Even if that means protecting your dumbass." Evan said. I chuckled and looked down at his face since He was an inch and a half shorter than me I admit but he felt comterable like when we were asleep together that he still doesn't know I know. I pulled away from the hug and cleaned my face.
"Let's find them." I smirked
"There goes the Jonathan I know." Evan laughed. I can't describe the feeling I feel for him. I like the feeling, but at the same time I hate it. We ran down the hall looking through the last cells. I saw a door on right of the hall. Evan noticed too, he looked at me and nodded. I opened the door slowly revealing someone tied up on a hospital bed in the middle of the room. I slowly walked towards it until I recognize the person, Mini.
"Mini? Mini?! Wake up!" I yelled.
"Shhh." Evan said before looking around. Mini opened his eyes slowly. He looked weak and drained out.
"What happened?" I asked.
"They're t-torturing us. They want to know where you're at." Mini said.
"They just want me?" I questioned
"Yes, but we're not letting them have you." He smiled.
I smiled back at him and looked at Evan. He was looking for something to get Mini out the chains. They had something on it that no super natural creature can manage. That's why Mini is so weak. There were more chains on the flirt filled with that liquid. Evan was by Mini trying to figure out what to do. I used my super speed to pick up the chain and tie Evan to the hospital bed. When I was finished I got dizzy. I sat on the floor and too a few breaths. "What the hell are you doing?!" Evan yelled
"Like I said, you came here to save your people not to be killed so I'm going to take control. Everyone will come your way and help you, I promise to get all your people free." I told him. I got up slowly holding my head, I looked at Evan and he was slowly falling asleep. I walked towards a door hoping that it will lead to one of the groups
I opened the door to be greeted by another long, empty hallway. I sighed in frustration and started walking. There were no doors yet and my eye sight started to get better. I did not know what were on those chains, but it's strong, really strong. I was close to passing out, luckily, I didn't. I turned left and opened the door and I saw people in cages. One person stood out to me and that was Brock.
"Brock?" I whispered.
"Delirious, What are you doing here?" He asked.
"I'm here to save you guys." I said grabbing the cage. I automatically get burned. I let go quick and look around for a cloth or something. I saw a green rag by the exit door. I ran towards it and picked it up. I ran back and grab a hold of the cage and ripped it off. It worked, but I also got a little more weak. My eye sight was getting blurry again and clearing back up. "Shit." I whispered. "Get the rest out I'm going to find the others. When you take all of them out head down there and keep going until you see Evan and Mini. Help them and leave immediately. Don't listen to Evan, don't let him come towards here." I demanded and walked to the next room. I didn't see Bryce. I'm not leaving till I see him out.
There wasn't much light in this hallway. There were stairs up ahead. Hopefully the others are there if not then I don't know what I'll do. I walked up the stairs and saw a door to the left. I opened it and saw the rest in a cell. It looks like some kind of gas is in the cells so they're all laying down. They weren't sleep, but they all looked tired. I looked around for anything to get them free. I saw a button across the room. I started to run over there until I felt pain on my right leg. I fell and saw blood coming out from my leg I looked up and saw one of the scientists, smirking. I groaned, trying to stand up
"Poor Jonathan. " the scientist snickered. I was a bit dizzy, but I think I can take him down easily. I supper speed towards him, but instantly fell face first in front of him. I tried to get back up but fell right back down again.
"Oh, did I tell you there was something in that? Well I'm telling you now. Listen, Jon, I'll make a deal with you. I will let all your friends go if you agree to stay here with your brother and you'll never try to escape. Sounds good?" He said bending down. he pressed a button showing a screen. It turned on. I saw Bryce passed out having chains around him with substance. Blood was on him. I struggled to roll on my back. I looked at him.
I nodded. It's the only way to save them, right? I closed my eyes in pain.
"No. You let everyone out including my brother and I will never escape." I told him
"Why would I do that? I can keep both of you here."
"Because if I do agree to that you keep, both of us but will just escape again and it will take you'll years to track us down again just like now. But if you let him go and these people go I'll stay. I won't escape but you can't hurt anyone especially my brother." I said.
"Let them all out. Take them outside and tell those freaks to leave! Including Bryce." He yelled. I assume the other scientists were hiding somewhere just in case his plan didn't work.
"This is going to be fun, isn't it, jon?" He said before everything went black.
