Fang regained her balance and glowered at me. I stood aghast, gasping at the pain that was coming again. I glanced behind her at the dragon. The dragon was weakening because Fang was losing her composure. This is a chance now to strike at it, destroying it once and for all. Suddenly I saw millions of tiny purple petals in the air. The wave of purple was enormous and it completely engulfed the dragon. Fang noticed this and shrieked.

“Why did I let myself be this vulnerable?!” Fang screamed.  She gripped her sword and ran to me, swinging her sword at me. I blocked it with my hands with difficultly. Byakuya appeared behind her, thrusting his sword at her. She blocked it and fired a cero at him. He was sent hurling into the air. Fang turned to me.

I was confused. I flash-stepped behind her and placed a hand on her shoulder. “Are you all right Fang?” She looked back at me, her eyes flaring.

“Argh!” She grabbed me and impaled her hand in my stomach. My mouth hung open as she flung me away. I was sent hurling but I landed with effort on my feet. My tongue tasted metal as I spat out blood, coughing and spurting. My hand covered my wound on my stomach that was bleeding uncontrollably. I eyed Fang. She glanced at me and the next second she was behind me, about to swing her sword and my back. I quickly blocked it with my other hand and kicked it away. My skirt was torn and my jacket barely in pieces. My hood was still intact but I knew strands of red hair were visible now.

A figure appeared behind Fang. A battle-worn Byakuya, showing himself again. I couldn’t help but wonder where Kenpachi was. He grabbed Fang and attacked her. I watched as Fang was merciless, firing a cero oscuras directly at Byakuya. He had very little time to block it with his bankai but it was fired upon him. The smoke cleared up as I saw him lying on the ground. My eyes widened as he didn’t appear to be breathing.

Fang’s eyes were upon me once more. I flash-stepped and grabbed her neck, strangling her. I lifted her into the air. Fang gripped my hand, squirming and trying to wriggle free. I tightened my grip as I glowered at her. Her eyes were full of pleading. I ignored it. I was going to kill her. I looked down. My head slowly lifted up and I found myself staring into Fang’s eyes. I saw myself, with my eyes flaring bright red, merciless. I wasn’t going to turn into a monster like Fang. No, what would I gain from killing her like this? This isn’t me. No matter what I did, I couldn’t hurt Fang. I couldn’t hurt her. She means something. No…she is a liar, a coward that destroyed Ulquiorra’s death. I dropped my gaze.

“Reina,” she whispered. “Is that you?” I looked up immediately and dropped her. Fang fell to the ground, coughing.

“What?” I almost screamed at her. “Who are you?” Fang didn’t answer, her face pressed against the ground. I towered above her. “I said, who the fuck are you?!”

I backed away slightly as Fang stood up slowly. She looked at me with a sad expression painted across her face. “Do you not recognize me?” I didn’t answer.

“Who are you?” I breathed.

She smiled softly. “Reina, I am-” I cut her off. I flash-stepped behind and grabbed her, placing my hand next to her head. I didn’t what was driving me to do this.
