Each girl stayed up in her room thinking that all those boys were just too perfect. Admittedly, things were awkward at first, but everyone had gotten along swimmingly. Sassy stayed up the latest. She just laughed at the truth or dare game that was played at dinner; Harry was the perfect person for Sassy to play against. But Harry’s personality reminded her of Caleb. Shaking the thought, Sassy tried to keep her mind on the fact that she had met a really cool guy.
“EEEEEKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK” Sassy’s alarm rang in her ear almost as loud as an Aerosmith concert. She looked at the time. She was late. Oh shoot, she thought. Sassy hurriedly put on clothes, brushed her tangled hair and put on mascara. Sassy sped her way through the city, praying that Emily would not be mad. She pulled up to the salon, and no lights were on. A wave of relief flooded Sassy’s 5ft body. Emily was late. Sassy opened the Salon and prepared everything for the day. Just an hour after opening, Sassy was working on a young girl’s hair when Emily came into the Salon exasperated. “Sassy, Sassy, Sassy. You my dear are an angel sent from heaven. Thank you so much for setting up and taking care of the salon while I was nowhere to be found. My Phone is dead, and my car is in the shop. That stupid old thing broke down on me last night! But something good did come out of my cars breaking down.” Emily ranted to Sassy, while Sassy was busy shaping the girls long honey blonde hair into a layered cut.
“What? Who did you meet?” Sassy asked.
“Well, there were five guys, and the one in the passenger seat noticed me and my smoking car, Yes my car now smokes. How unhealthy! Well anyways. He had the guy slow down and he got out of the car. He said “’Hi, You look like you need help.’ I replied
‘Yea, all of a sudden my car decides to smoke.’
‘Well have you called a tow truck?’
‘ No. My phone died, and I cannot find my charger.’
‘ here. I will call a tow truck, and stay with you until a tow truck comes. It is not proper for a pretty girl to be on the side of the road at night.’
‘Thank you so much, and by the way my name is Emily.’
‘ Mine’s Edward.’ And then he called the tow truck. “
“He sounds like a good southern gentleman.” Sassy said just missing home, and Caleb.
“ A What?” Emily and the girl asked both wondering that this girl from America was talking about.
“Well a Southern gentleman has a good attitude towards everything that the girl wants to do, A southern gentleman will always rise from his chair when a lady enters the room, no matter if she is a member of the family, a neighbor, or a family friend. This is normally a respect shown to women over the age of nineteen.
It is a southern gentleman's duty to protect women, to never allow them to be molested or insulted, and to deal extremely harshly with anyone who does. This is instilled in southern gentlemen at a very early age. We understand that we are the physically stronger of the species, thus the protectors.
A southern gentleman does not believe in going "dutch". When we are in the company of a lady in public for the purpose of dating, we believe that it is our sole responsibility to pay for everything associated with that date. We would consider it to be a great embarrassment for a date in our company to pay for her own meal.
A southern gentelman never shakes hands with a woman, understanmding that when a man shakes hands with another man, they are taking one another's measure. the bones in lady's hands are more delicate than ours, therefore it should be taken gently when introduced, and folded.
