Gone (Deceased! Lucy Heartfilia x Depressed! Angry! Reader) RS

"Hey, Lucy," A girl with (y/h/c) hair and dead, cloudy (y/e/c) eyes said. She was standing in front of a stone grave. In golden words, it said, Here lies Lucy Layla Heartfilia, friend, lover, sister, and guildmate. Under the golden writing, was the Fairy Tail guild mark. Y/n fell to her knees with tears pricking her eyes. "I...I came to tell you the news! Levy's pregnant...again! This time," a single tear ran down her cheek, "they're twins!" The sun started setting and the gold writing glowed. Y/n wrapped her arms around the grave then started sobbing.

It was late at night, Y/n was still at Lucy's grave, curled up into a ball, tear stains on her face. While she slept, she dreamed of her dead lover...

"Welcome to the guild, Y/n!" Erza yelled happily slapping Y/n on the back. The girl thanked Erza before rubbing her back in pain. "Don't worry," Cana snickered, "she does that to everyone when they join the guild." Y/n nodded. She walked around the guild, everyone partying and drinking, the guild was so full of happiness. Natsu fought with Gray as Wendy watched as standby for any injuries, though Carla protested in so. Wakaba and Romeo checked the request board together, looking for a job to go on together. Finally, Y/n's eyes landed on the blonde star mage sitting at the bar alone. Y/n strolled over and awkwardly sat down next to her. "Lucy Heartfilia, right?" Lucy, shocked at the sudden question, jumped slightly. "Oh, yes! Y/n Y/l/n, right?" Y/n nodded with a smile. "Are they always like this?" She asked then pointed to Natsu and Gray. Lucy sighed. "Sadly, always." Y/n laughed. Lucy blushed. 'She's adorable.' Lucy thought with a small smile. "Hey," Y/n looked at Lucy, "why don't we go on a job together?" Y/n blushed slightly but smiled bigger than Natsu. "Sounds like fun!"

When Y/n woke up, she wasn't outside, nor was she in Lucy's apartment. The sound of talking was familiar. "What should we do with her?" A deep voice asked. "I don't know, maybe we should let her rest, and as she sleeps we dry her off." A higher voice responded with. Y/n filled with anger. She jumped out of the bed she was placed in and slammed the door open. Two figures jumped. Natsu Dragneel fell into the wall as Happy landed on the floor. "Y/n, are you alright? We found you sleeping in the graveyard and-" Y/n cut the dragon slayer off by grabbing onto a nearby navy blue jacket. She put it one and started heading for a front door. "You really shouldn't be going out!" Natsu warned, chasing after Y/n. "Shut up, Salamander." Y/n snapped then opened the front door. It was pouring outside with gusts of wind and lightning. "Y/n! Please!" Natsu grabbed Y/n's shoulder, but she slapped him. "Don't touch me! You have no right to even speak to me, or even look at me! When will you understand?! I hate you, Natsu! It's because of you..." Natsu stared at Y/n with wide eyes, "because of your ignorance and stupidity, Lucy is dead! You killed her!" Y/n ran out of the house with tears running down her face. 'Damnnit!'

"That was a fun mission, huh?" Lucy asked with a bright smile. Y/n nodded her head, even though she was covered in cuts. "Maybe next time we should try not to fall into the river, though." Y/n joked, making Lucy laugh. The two girls laughed together until their hands connected. The two blushed then shared stunned looks. "Oh, um, should I?" Lucy asked, retracting her hand. "No!" Y/n yelled suddenly. Lucy looked at her startled with a blush. Y/n blushed back with embarrassment. "It's...it's fine." Lucy smiled. She held onto Y/n's hand with an embarrassed smile. The two awkwardly looked away from each other, but the more they walked, the more they talked, and the more they talked, the less awkward it was. By the time they arrived at the guild hall, they had forgotten they were holding hands and walked into the guild. Natsu and Cana were the first people to notice them. "Oohh~," Cana cooed loudly, "Y/n and Lucy sitting in a tree! K-I-S-S-I-N-G! First comes love then comes marriage-" Natsu covered Cana's mouth. Not because he was jealous, but because her voice killing his ears. Lucy was bright red while Y/n laughed. "Awe, you two do make an adorable couple," Mira commented from the bar. Lisanna nodded her head in agreement as Juvia and Gray murmured, "She's right." Soon, everyone was telling the two how adorable and perfect they are for each other. Lucy was bright red, nearly steaming. Y/n cleared her throat, "So, Lucy, guess I'll be picking you up at 8:00, Saturday sound alright?" Everyone leaned in for Lucy's response. She looked at Y/n. She was bright red but hopeful. Lucy smiled, "That sounds amazing!"

Y/n flicked the lights of Lucy's apartment on. None of her stuff had been moved, the letters to her mom remained in the box, all her clothing had only left the drawers or closet to be washed of the dust of mysterious stains, and Lucy's unfinished story rested on the desk, forever unfinished. Y/n trudged inside, soaking wet and covered in leaves and mud. She took off her clothes quickly then climbed into the bathtub. Y/n thought. Like she always did. Then, she started sobbing again.

"Natsu!" Lucy whined her fist on fire. "This is gonna be awesome if you live." He remarked. "What do you mean if?!" Natsu tossed the voodoo doll to Happy. "What are you doing?" Lucy asked with tears in her eyes. The fire was burning her flesh terribly. "Max speed!" Happy yelled. Lucy braced for impact. When her body made contact with Kain, she went numb. Natsu and Happy cheered. Y/n ran towards them. "There you guys are!" She lifted the boulders off of Natsu with her always stunning strength. "What the hell is that?" She asked. Her question went ignored as Natsu started making it do poses. Natsu had a ridiculous face. "I need to go find Erza, be careful." Y/n then ran off, not yet noticing Lucy. Natsu noticed Lucy's body not making the poses. "Luce?" He asked. Natsu put the doll down and ran towards Lucy. His eyes widened in horror.

Y/n sighed when she realized the time. Now wasn't the appropriate time to be up. She had to go on at least two jobs tomorrow to get rent money. Even what Lucy was gone, Y/n couldn't help but try to keep the apartment. Lucy's landlady had told Y/n repeatedly that just because Lucy's apartment will be someone else's, doesn't mean she is gone. Y/n never listened. Y/n dried herself off and dressed. Before she left for her house, she spotted a picture on a vanity. It was of Natsu and Happy. The two had signed the picture themselves. Y/n had made a vow, but her anger took over. Her fist became covered in lightning and she punched the picture into dust. Y/n fell to her knees. She stared at the picture in shock. She had destroyed one of Lucy's things. She promised herself she would never, never, do that. In a mere second, Y/n realized something. She threw on a fresh jacket and ran out of the apartment to the forest.

"Come on, come on, come on, open the door!" Y/n yelled as she knocked on the door rapidly. The door finally opened, revealing Natsu. He looked at Y/n fearfully, bracing for a second slap in the face. Surprisingly, he was met with a tight hug. Y/n sobbed in Natsu's shoulder, saying the words, "I'm sorry, she wouldn't want this," over and over again. Happy flew over. Y/n pulled him into the hug, apologizing to him as well.

"Is this everybody?" Mira asked, already doing a headcount. "No, where are Lucy, Happy, and Natsu?" Lisanna asked while looking around. Y/n ran to base camp, panting heavily. "I can't find them." Suddenly, Natsu and Happy appeared. "There you are!" Y/n smiled then it fell in an instant. In Natsu's arms, Lucy, who was white with a bleeding and burnt hand, rested. Lisanna gagged, nearly vomiting on the ground. Y/n slowly approached Natsu. He put Lucy down, tears and rain streaming down his face. "What did you do?" Y/n managed to croak. "I didn't mean to, I swear. I never meant to...to...kill her." Y/n along with everyone else stared at Natsu with wide eyes. "No...no...no...NO!" Y/n shook Lucy, screaming her name. Natsu forced Y/n to stop. She breathed heavily before making eye contact with Natsu. "Argh!" Y/n tackled Natsu, punching him until his face was covered in blood and cuts. Elfman and Gajeel grabbed Y/n, holding her by her shoulders. "You! You killed her! You killed Lucy! You killed her!"

Natsu handed Y/n the blanket. "You came all the way out here, in the pouring rain at 1:00, to apologize?' Happy asked. Y/n nodded her head. She pulled her knees to her chest, tears filling her eyes. "You didn't mean to, I know, but...but..." Natsu and Happy watched as Y/n started crying again. "I hated you so freaking much, but she would've wanted me to forgive you. It's been three years, why can't I just move on?" Natsu wrapped his arms around Y/n. "Moving on doesn't mean forgetting Lucy, you're right, she wouldn't have wanted this. But she would've wanted me to try harder to apologize." Y/n, Natsu, and Happy all fell asleep on the couch that night. A golden figure walked through the door. They had long hair, fair skin, and the Fairy Tail guild mark was on their hand. She pet Happy, ruffled Natsu's hair and kissed the top of Y/n's head. The three's eyes cracked open, and they gasp. Lucy smiled brightly at the three. "Now isn't this a lovely birthday present," Natsu and Y/n scrambled to their feet. Y/n pulled Lucy into her arms, tears pricking her eyes. Lucy hugged back. "I love you, and I'm so happy you have forgiven him." Y/n kissed Lucy passionately. "Natsu," Natsu brightened, only to be slapped. "If you ever do a shit stunt like that ever again to anyone, so help me my ghost will forever haunt you until you jump off a cliff." Natsu stuttered for words. Lucy laughed then hugged him. "Well, I should be going," Y/n kissed Lucy once more before her figure disappeared. "Goodbye, Y/n."
