Face of a Ghost

"Hydra doesn't like leaks." Jasper Sitwell said leaning forward off his seat to speak to Sam in the drivers seat. But, was quickly jerked back by Kelsey who was forced into being smushed between him and the car door.

"Why don't you try and put a cork in it?" Sam said from behind the wheel.

"Insight is launching in 16 hours, we're cutting it a little close here." Natasha said from the other side of Sitwell.

"I know." Steve answered in response. "we'll use him to bypass the DNA scans at the Triskelion and access the helicarriers directly."

Steve's words earned an immediate and panicked response from Sitwell, "What?! Are you crazy? That's a terrible, terrible idea."

No more than a second after the words had left his mouth, a huge thud came from the roof of the car, followed by the shattering of glass from the window beside Kelsey. There was no time for her to process what exactly was going on before she felt the back of her sweatshirt get grabbed and be pulled right out of the car through the window by some ungodly strength. Whatever had taken hold of her promptly threw her over it's shoulder into the air behind Sam's car. She felt her body flip through the air before slamming into the front windshield of another car.

The impact of hitting the windshield knocked the wind right out of her and sent her head snapping back hitting the car roof roughly. Despite the intense wave of nausea, Kelsey quickly opened her eyes to witness as Jasper Sitwell was pulled out of the car by a man actually on top of the car and thrown into the incoming traffic.

Within a matter of seconds he was run over by a large truck.

There was a sickening splatter and crunch that came when Sitwell was hit. Closing her eyes quickly she then heard the sound of a car breaking right in front of her. Opening her eyes, Kelsey saw as four men got out of an armored car all with guns. Two of the men turned tin the direction of where Kelsey was still stuck in the car windshield. The two quickly raised their guns and began to fire in Kelsey's direction, as the bullets quickly started getting very close to where Kelsey was stuck she jumped into action.

Throwing a hand out into the air in front of her she swung it harshly sending a nearby stopped car skidding into the two men knocking them into the hard road.

Pressing her hands down on the already broken wind shield she gave it one more push with all her strength she dewedged herself and jumped into air before the gun men had gotten off the ground.

Flying further ahead to see what happened to Steve and the others she came just in time to see Sam and Natasha being held down by the other gun men as bullets rained down all around them. Again she held her hand out aiming for the hummer that was behind the group of men firing on her friends and sent it sliding forward knocking the men with guns to the ground. This had been enough of a diversion for Sam and Nat just enough time to get to safer ground with Sam heading for his overturn car and Natasha jumping down to the street below the highway.

Before she had time to even blink the man who had initially ripped her from the car was off the ground and his gun was trained on her, showing off what looked like a silver arm holding the gun up. Something that was definitely too big to be a bullet came flying from the gun directly at her. Before she could tell what exactly it was the thing exploded directly in front of her. Instinctively her forearms shot up to protect her face getting badly burned in the process.

The blast from the explosion caused Kelsey to completely loose her concentration and be thrown from the air falling all the way to the street below the highway directly into the top of another car.

The sound of bullets raining down around where she had just crashed forced her into action almost immediately. Rolling off the top of the car, she dashed for cover behind an overturned bus.
