"Is something wrong Steve?" Clint asked looking over at his super soldier teammate and friend.
"Kelsey isn't answering her phone." Steve responded putting down his own phone as he paced across the room.
"You mean this phone?" Tony said picking up a smart phone and waving it in the air.
"She left it here?" Steve asked and Tony simply nodded.
"I should probably get it back to her, in case something happens." Steve said quickly snatching the phone from Tony and going towards the elevator.
Steve ignored whatever stupid joke Tony made about him and Kelsey, instead focusing on the nagging pull in his stomach. Something didn't feel right and he was determined to figure out what it was.

"I hope you realize Miss Blackburn that picking SHIELD over HYDRA, was a grave mistake on your end." A thick German accent made the man's words become muddled. But cracking open an eye to look up at the man that towered over her Kelsey turned her head to spit out a mix of saliva and blood that filled her mouth onto her wood floor.
"Well based off of where I am sitting right now I can't really agree with you can I?" Kelsey asked groaning as her lungs burned.
Her whole body ached painfully, the man had ambushed her as soon as she'd arrived to her apartment. Stunning her by taking one of the glass bottles of beer she kept in her fridge and slamming it onto the back of her head.
When she'd been knocked to the floor the man had picked her up like she was nothing and tied her to one of her chairs. Her head had been pulsating and by the time any of her senses returned to her, it was all too late and Kelsey was stuck.
Her arms were tied behind the chair while her legs were tied individually to the front legs of her chair and the ropes were wrapped tightly around her waist and through the parts of the chair.
Kelsey could do nothing but sit there as the man punched her and kicked her, at one point he'd pulled a knife on her and left a cut going from next to her eye down her cheek ending at her chin along with multiple other slashing cuts up and down her arms and legs. She knew who he was, the man on quite a couple occasions had been the one sent to recruit her to HYDRA. All he ever told her about himself was that his name was Schumacher.
The last time though the man had tried to take her in by force and she responded as she did to any other physical threat. Maybe she had lost all her patience with the man and went a little too far when she had left the man in an alleyway with flames eating away at his arm but the man was relishing in returning the pain she'd inflicted on him right back to tenfold. Kelsey could see the pink scarred skin on the man when he had rolled up his sleeve, but as soon as the man saw her staring he started throwing relentless punches to her body twice as hard as he had done before.
He was just as much of a muscle man as Thor appeared if not a little less but he stood tall with short blonde hair and bright yet soft green eyes that didn't seem to fit with his overall appearance.
"So, what are you going to do to me?" Kelsey asked after the moment of silence the pair had been in.
"Well since I am such a gracious person you have two options; the first join HYDRA of course you would have to tell us all the secrets you know about SHIELD and take a part in a few experimentations and some mild reconditioning-"
"Like hell I will!" Kelsey barked cutting the man off.
"The second option is you die." The HYDRA agent said pulling out a gun and aiming it right in the middle of her forehead.
"Fuck."
Having the barrel of a gun pressed against her forehead was not what Kelsey had planned for the day.
And yet here she was, the cold metal barrel of the gun pressed against her temple, her whole-body pulsating from what had probably been an hour straight of non-stop abuse from her captor. She was tied to one of her kitchen chairs unable move even an inch.
"What was the first option again??" Kelsey asked cheekily knowing that the situation was grim on her end.
"Enough," Schumacher growled fiercely. "You have had plenty of chances to join Hydra, no more."
With his words there was the loud click of the safety turning off on his handgun. Feeling the cold metal press against her temple made the sound of her heartbeat ring in her ears. But despite this intense growing anxiety, Kelsey looked up at the man holding a gun against her head and smiled.
A black frying pan came flying across the room from the kitchen slamming into the side of Schumacher's head.
Completely caught off guard, Schumacher fell to the ground, the hand gun going off as he fell to the floor.
As shot rang into the air Kelsey's ear began to ring and her door was quite literally thrown open with a confused Steve Rogers appearing in the door frame. His eyes darted between Kelsey and the man on the floor. Schumacher let out a groan trying to sit up, as he reached for his gun.
"He's Hydra!" Kelsey shouted to Steve. Instantly jumping to action Steve grabbed the agent and with two lightning fast punches Schumacher was out for the count.
"Thanks for the save Cap." Kelsey said with a smile ignoring the pain in the side of her cheek where the harsh cut was bleeding profusely.
"Of course, are you okay though?" Steve asked dropping the Hydra agent to the ground and kneeling in front of her to undo the restraints holding her down.
"I'm fine Steve and my door better be too, or else."
"Sorry about that, but what happened?"
Kelsey sighed looking down tiredly causing her hair to sweep over her eyes.
"Hydra found out that I finally picked a side and sent this jerk to take care of me." Kelsey said looking down at her friend as he removed the rope binding her legs to the chair. As soon as he finished with her legs, Steve went behind the chair to cut the ropes binding her arms behind her back.
"So why are you here?"
"You left your phone back at the tower." Steve said promptly dropping her smartphone onto her lap.
Standing up onto her admittedly wobbly legs, Steve jumped to Kelsey's side wrapping his arm around her waist and helping her to the couch. As soon as he set Kelsey down he rushed to the kitchen grabbing a wet paper towel rushing back to her seconds later. Gently he began wiping away the dried blood that was going down the side of her face and onto her neck and clothes.
"I'm okay, I'm okay. Don't worry about me Steve." Kelsey said swatting his hand away only to get a sigh in return.
"I'm going to go call Nat." Steve said handing her the wet paper towel standing up and digging into his back pocket taking out his phone.
"Steve don't, I'm fine."
"No, Hydra sent someone to kill you I'm calling Nat."
Kelsey could only roll her eyes, her body lacking any energy to move and go after him as he left her apartment going into the hallway to make the call. Looking around the room Kelsey grimaced at how much of a mess her apartment was in.
Flicking her wrist Kelsey used her telekinesis to return her apartment back to normal. Her books and movies floated back to their places on the shelves. The blood stained knives Schumacher had used on Kelsey floated back into the kitchen dropping into the sink. And the rope that Schumacher had used on Kelsey wrapped around the unconscious agent restraining the asshole.
Letting out an exhausted sight, Kelsey let her head roll back to stare at the ceiling.
"Screw Hydra."
