"No signs of life at the library or her usual prowling spots. None of the other tenants at the apartment complex have seen Kelsey in over a week." Natasha called as the elevator doors slid open allowing her and Clint into the lounge of Avengers tower.

Three days had already passed since Kelsey had jumped from the Avenger's Tower window disappearing into thin air. And despite the teams best efforts to reach out and constant searches through the city, they had come up with nothing, there were no texts or calls, no sightings or leads. Kelsey had practically disappeared into the night sky.

The only signs they'd found of her had been the leftover EKG nodes in the bathroom in Kelsey's library and a few papers thrown about messily, it was clear she'd been in a rush.

"The last ping on her phone was from the library, but she hasn't turned it on since" Tony called from were he was pacing around an armchair tapping away on a tablet.

Steve too entered the living space from a side hallway, holding something in his hands, "Do you mean this phone?"

With his question he held up a familiar smart phone in a gold and burgundy case, which only brought down the mood even further.

"Damn it." Tony cursed throwing his tablet onto the nearby sofa as he slumped into the armchair he'd been circling for the major part of an hour. "Where did you find it?"

"In her room, it was under her dresser." Steve sighed dropping into a nearby sofa.

"Are there any other leads?" Clint questioned rubbing his eyes in exhaustion.

"JARVIS is going through Red Light Camera, MTA and Transit Authority databases  right now to see if there's anything there but its going to take a while." Tony answered back as he looked to his teammates.

A lull took over the room as all the Avengers sat in silence unsure of what their next move would be, if there were any other moves to be made. That was until Bruce came rushing into the room shouting, "We've got a lead! We've got a lead!"

His words cause everyone to jump up in excitement and Tony rushed towards him, "Where?!"

"Sokovia!" Banner said with increasing excitement. "Jarvis had compiling the data from our last raid on HYDRA and based on the energy signals this particular base is giving off, we're almost certain its the scepter."

The hope on all the other Avenger's but Thor's faces dropped, they had all thought the news would be for their teammate instead of just another mission chasing after what had evaded them multiple times.

"We must go then, retrieve the scepter immediately, lest it too disappear again." Thor exclaimed summoning Mjolnir into his hand from the other side off the room.

"While we do believe we found the scepter , from my initial scans I believe this base is more heavily defended than the other previous bases. It would be strongly advised to only attack at full strength." Jarvis explained his bodiless voice echoing through the room.

"JARVIS is right, we hit some serious resistance with the last few bases at full power and if this one is more defended those we definitely need to try to find Kelsey and bring her back." Natasha answered bringing  the team back  to a mutual silence.

The group all knew what they had to do: to find Kelsey fast and get the scepter.

Hi everyone, I am so sorry It has taken me this long  to post and update. Getting used to adult life and balancing a work/home life is something I am still trying to get used to.  And I apologize because I know I say similar things a lot but honestly I want to try and get back to writing again.

I have a few more chapter's lined up, either half finished or basically done. This chapter as short as it is took me so long to write.

Thank you for those who have stood by me and my story.

And I can't wait to see you soon!
