What are you doing? (Chapter 27)

Author’s note: the medical stuff may not be correct in this, sorry I’m not a doctor :P

Niall’s monitors start to go crazy, beaping, making every noise they can.

“Shit, of course” Luke mumbles under his breath.

The doctors and nurses run into the room, shocked to see someone in the room.

“I’ll be back for you Niall…” Luke whispers in his ear.

“Who are you? No one is supposed to be in here… Not even family” the doctor says to Luke.

“Sorry, I didn’t know. I’ll get out” Luke says faking his innocence.

Niall’s POV
I tried to scream. I tried to move I just can’t. I tried to tell the doctors and nurses about Luke from earlier. Now he’s giving me threats again... Or at least I think it’s him. Who else would it be?  I just can’t do anything. What is wrong with me? Where is Elizabeth?  Has she even come to see me? Has she even thought about me?

Elizabeth’s POV

I snuck into Niall’s room earlier. I just couldn’t help myself. I needed to know how he was doing. But it killed me to see him like that. He had so many wired connected to him, so many monitors that meant something about his health. I wish I understood what they were for so I knew how he was doing. He just looked so peaceful in his sleep…

Luke’s POV

I wonder if Elizabeth has heard anything about Niall. Probably not, the nurse said something about not even family allowed in there. I could use that to my advantage to win Elizabeth over. Sorry Niall but it’s my turn to take Elizabeth from you…

Elizabeth’s POV

I guess I will go to see Niall later.. Or at least try to. Hopefully I won’t have to sneak in this time. When I snuck in at first it was like 2 in the morning so it was easier, barley anyone watching. But now that it’s day time people are more on guard…

Elizabeth slowly drifts to sleep.

~~A few hours later~~

Elizabeth’s POV

Wo, it’s already 1 o’clock at night? This cancer really makes you sleep for a while… Come to think of it they never told me what cancer I have; I guess they didn’t want to freak me out any more than I already was. Maybe I should ask them later.. Awww Alexander made me a get well soon card (picture on the side)

Elizabeth smiles at the card. She then takes out a casual dress. It is completely blue, the same color blue as Niall’s eyes.

Elizabeth’s POV

This should be good. Not to fancy but just enough to look nice…. Then again, why bother getting all dressed up? He can’t see me, he probably can’t even hear me.. Oh well, I already put it on, I’m not taking it off.

Elizabeth starts to walk down the hallway, when she starts to think.

Elizabeth’s POV

You know what he probably doesn’t even know I’m there why not stop by the desk and ask. I’m sure they know and they can….

Elizabeth’s thought it cut off by the sound of crying, she looks down the dark hallway where the crying is coming from.

Elizabeth’s POV

You know anyone could be down there. He could be an axe murder… yes because there’s always that possibility (yes I’m quoting The Fault in Our Stars, don’t judge!) the cries get louder as Elizabeth takes cautious steps down the hallway.

“Hey, who’s crying down there?” Elizabeth asks reluctantly

Luke’s POV

That sounded like Elizabeth your plan is working… keep crying.

Elizabeth’s POV

That’s when I see Luke, sitting there sitting on the ground. His elbows touching his knees, his hands pushed in his eyes bailing his eyes out….

“Luke what’s wrong?” Elizabeth asks concerned.

Elizabeth’s POV
Luke’s eyes are so red it looks like he’s been crying for hours…

“it’s.. it’s…” Luke says stuttering through hiccups.

“It’s what Luke? she grabs his hand, it's cold and wet from all his tears.

“It’s Niall…” Luke says then starts to bail his eyes out again.

“Luke what do you mean it’s Niall??!!” Elizabeth asks about to cry…

Luke shakes his head, not bothering to lift his head to look at Elizabeth.

“Luke. What. Is. Wrong. With. Niall.” Elizabeth says starting to cry her heart out.
