“Elizabeth Jones” a nurse asks looking around the almost empty waiting room.
“I’m here” Elizabeth says rubbing her eyes and yawning.
“Do you want them in the room with you?” the nurse asks pointing to Niall and her mom.
“No, I’ll let them sleep and tell them later” Elizabeth says half asleep.
The nurse nods her head.
“Ok, well. There was nothing wrong with your urine test we took, no drugs or alcohol in your bloodstream. So you want the good news or the bad news about your check up?” the nurse asks.
“I guess the bad” Elizabeth says hesitating.
“Well, your tumor hasn’t gone away, but it hasn’t grown so you can have surgery to remove it. The good news is you are pregnant.
“Oh” Elizabeth says shocked.
Elizabeth’s POV
How am I pregnant? A better question who’s the daddy?
“See here’s your x-ray. The tumor is small, but it is taking over the most important part of your brain.(A/N that may not be the most important part of the brain. sorry I'm not a doctor)” The nurse discusses pointing to the x-ray.
“Okay. Do I have to decide now if I want the surgery?” Elizabeth asks.
“No, we will give you as much time as you need, but if I were you I would chose quickly and wisely. Every second is precious. Especially for your baby” the nurse explains rubbing Elizabeth’s stomach.
“Okay, thank you. I’ll get back to you as soon as I can” Elizabeth says walking back into the waiting room to find Niall and her mom still sleeping.
“Hey Niall, wake up” Elizabeth says shaking Niall’s arm.
“What is it?” Niall asks shooting up right away.
“It’s ok Niall. I just got my results” Elizabeth calmly explains.
“So are you cancer free?” Niall asks eagerly.
“Before I answer that question I want you to answer mine, will you break up with me if I still had my cancer?” Elizabeth says cracking on the word cancer.
“I would never break up with you because of cancer. I love you too much, you are my princess. My everything. Ever since you came into my life, I felt… normal again. I would never let you go during such a fragile, difficult time, you need someone.” Niall says but before he can finish Elizabeth kisses him.
“What was that for?” Niall asks when they break apart from the kiss.
“For always being there. For always supporting me. I love you Niall Horan. Always,” Elizabeth whispers in his ear, and then she lightly pecks his lips.
“Hey get a room!” Elizabeth’s mom says joking.
“Ha ha” Elizabeth says.
“So did you get the results yet?” Elizabeth’s mom asks.
“Yeah, I did….” Elizabeth says looking out the window.
“And?” Elizabeth’s mom says implying that Elizabeth should continue.
“Here” Elizabeth says handing her mom the paperwork.
Elizabeth’s mom POV
I don’t know what I am looking at… Everything seems to say it’s normal as far as I can see… Why is Elizabeth acting so… wait there’s two papers left. It’s an x-ray and a pregnancy sheet… Oh my god, that’s why she won’t talk…
Niall’s POV
I wish I could see those papers, judging by how Elizabeth and her mom are acting I’m guessing it’s not very good. Elizabeth seems really shaken up, I mean I was expecting her to be shocked. But not this much, there has to be something else up.
Elizabeth’s POV
How am I going to explain that I’m pregnant to Niall? What if he asks who the dad is? I have no idea who is, I’ve never even had sex come to think of it... I know he said that he would support me through the cancer, but cancer AND a child. That’s a little too much for one man to handle, even Niall. I guess I will just show him the paper work like I did with my mom and wait for his response. Well here goes….
Niall’s POV
Hmmm, why did they both seem so shocked? Everything seems normal to me… why is Elizabeth staring at me? She looks even more nervous then when her mom read it. Hmmm, two more sheets. An x-ray, oh my, this isn’t normal… She still has a tumor. he looks at her
“Elizabeth it’s ok. I’m still going to be here with you” Niall says going over to her and hugging her.
“Niall, that’s not what I am worried about the most.... Look at the last piece of paper” Elizabeth says hesitating.
Niall’s POV
What does she mean look at the last page? he glances at the piece of paper. She’s pregnant? What? How did that happen? Niall you know exactly how that happened, you took health class in high school….
“You’re pregnant?” Niall asks confused.
“I guess so” Elizabeth says uncertain bursting out crying into Niall’s shirt.
Niall’s POV
But who got her pregnant? I sure as hell know I didn’t, we haven’t had sex… So who did?
