**Trigger warning**
Everyone freezes in their spots behind the bed, ears ringing from the massive echo. Elizabeth slowly takes her casted arm and runs it over her opposite arm. Nothing. No gun shot. She sits up to see Lynn doing the same; looking for bullet wounds. Elizabeth looks at Niall who hasn’t been moving and quickly runs over to him.
Niall’s POV
I had to of been the one who got shot, Elizabeth and Lynn are over here, looking at my body. I can’t bare to look or even open my eyes to see the damage.
“Niall?” Elizabeth whispers trying to get him to make any noise, any movement to show he’s alive.
Just as his name slipped off Elizabeth’s lips his eyes slowly fluttered open.
“Thank god you’re okay!”Elizabeth screams and throws her arms around him.
“A-am I injured?” Niall asks quietly biting his lip.
“I don’t think so, I mean I don’t see any bullet wounds,” Elizabeth replies with a smile.
“Okay, are you and Lynn okay?” Niall asks curiously and concerned.
“Yeah, we are fine,” Elizabeth says as Lynn nods her head up and down.
“Okay, then where did the bullet go?” Niall asks getting up from behind the hospital bed.
“I-I know who was shot,” Niall stutters turning away from the groaning body.
“W-who?” Elizabeth asks with her voice shaking.
“Jackson,” Niall blurts.
“Really?” Elizabeth asks shocked and rises from behind the bed.
Elizabeth is met but Jackson’s lifeless eyes staring at her. His evil grin turns into a straight, relaxed face as the blood oozes out of his body.
“Elizabeth get behind the bed, he might be faking it just so he can shoot us,” Niall protectively warns.
“Niall, I don’t think he’s faking it,” Elizabeth whispers as Jackson lays there breathing slower and slower.
They say your brain replays things for seven minutes once you die..
Jackson’s POV
*flashback*
“How about we go out for lunch?” a perky Jackson asks.
“Yeah, why not?” his mom responds and they both get into the car.
“Please change the radio station,” Jackson whines for the fifth time within five minutes.
“I’m trying to drive,” his mother responds trying to focus on the busy road.
“But this song is terrible,” Jackson whines.
His mother changes the channel taking her eyes off the road for two mere seconds. Just long enough to run a red light. The next thing she sees is a car, and then the car smashing into her car less than a second later. The glass from the windshield shatters from the massive impact and it flies at her.
