Who are you? (Chapter 31)

~~It is now 8 o’clock at night~~

(These are messages between Luke=L and Josh=J) inside thoughts will be written like this

J- Umm, what’s your last name Luke?

L- Hemmings

J- I know that name but from where…. Ok, and how did you get my number?

L- I found it in Elizabeth’s phone. Duh.

J- Oh yeah! Now I remember him “Ok… so what do you need?’

L- You still love Elizabeth right?

J- Elizabeth… my heart tugs at that name... Why what does it matter?

L- Just answer the question.

J- Eh, why bother loving someone who doesn’t love you back?

L- So you still do have feelings for her…

J- Maybe. Why do you want to know so badly?

L- Ugh he asks so many questions….  Just meet me at Central Park in 10 minutes

J- And if I don’t?

L- You'll never see Elizabeth. Ever. Again.

J- Luke seems to have lost his mind… Ok, I’ll be there soon… *he throws his phone on his bed getting on a neon Nike shirt.  Ugh there’s a sharp pain in my stomach after I sent that last message

 

~~back at the hospital~~

“Why would Luke do something like this? Make me think that Niall was dead and then once we mentioned something about it he just took off.” Elizabeth asks confused.

Niall’s POV

I think I have an idea. He probably saw how close me and Elizabeth were getting and didn’t want me to get any closer to her. Ugh he needs to just stop trying. Like Elizabeth wouldn’t have found out eventually, I was going to wake up and see her. Unless he had a plan to kill me…

At the last thought that ran through his head Niall gets a cold chill.

“Aww Niall, what’s wrong?” Elizabeth cooed.

“Nothing, just got a little cold” Niall says lying.

Elizabeth looks down at her phone after feeling it buzz in her pocket. She sees she has one new message from Josh.

Elizabeth’s POV
Ugh that boy just doesn’t know when to stop bothering me. ‘Are you sure you want to delete the message?’  If I am going to get over Josh I can’t respond to anything that includes him… Besides me and Niall seem to be hitting it off

Elizabeth hits the delete message button.

~~at the park~~

“So why did you need to meet me?” Josh asks Luke.

“Well, I know how much you care about Elizabeth so I knew that talking about her would get you here…” Luke says with an evil smirk on his face.

“So? Your poi…” Josh’s sentence is cut off by Luke putting a piece of tape over his mouth.

Josh tries to squirm out of Luke’s arms but just can’t so he just gives up... Luke drags him to his car.

Josh’s POV

Maybe I can get out his arms if I wiggle around enough.....Why bother trying to squirm out of his arms? He’s much stronger than me… But what is he going to do with me? I’m not even with Elizabeth anymore.. Why am I the target? That’s when everything goes black…..

Elizabeth’s POV (dream)

I see Luke and Josh at the park… They are talking and then Luke covers Josh’s mouth with tape. I stand there, trying to help but I can’t I’m just stuck to the ground. No matter how hard I try I can’t move. Then I hear a blood curdling scream come out of Josh’s mouth, he’s trying to squirm out of Luke’s arms. But he can’t. I scream and this time Luke sees me... And starts to walk over to me, I try to move even more but it’s like I’m glued to the ground. Now he is inches apart from my face, I can feel his warm breath on my cheek. ‘If I can’t have you then nobody can’ he says to me with the most monotone voice I’ve ever heard… that’s when I see silver in his hand, it’s a revolver.  He shoots just as I was about to scream…

Elizabeth wakes up. Soaked in sweat, hair all over the place. Screaming. Panting. her eyes searching her room.

“Elizabeth!?” Niall screams and runs into the room.

“I… I… had… a terrible dream” Elizabeth stutters.

Niall walks over and rubs circles on Elizabeth’s back.

“wanna talk about it?” Niall asks.

Elizabeth just shakes her head no and Niall nods his head showing he understands.

Elizabeth’s POV

What most people don’t know is my dreams usually happen. This nightmare could actually happen. Any day, any second. Oh my god, that text from Josh could have been because I was his only hope and I just deleted it…. Not thinking much of it. I’m so stupid.

“Thanks Niall, I think I’m okay now” Elizabeth says sweetly.

“Ok,  get some sleep” Niall whispers getting up from on Elizabeth's bed.

Just as Niall was about to walk out of the room Elizabeth speaks up.

“Hey, Niall could you… um… stay in here with me..?” Elizabeth asks shyly.

“Of course” Niall replies.

He walks over and they lay together on the bed. Inches apart.

Niall’s POV

Put your arm around her stupid. It’ll calm her down more.

Niall slowly snakes his arm around her waist.

Elizabeth’s POV
Did Niall just put his arm around me? This has to be a dream.

Niall moves a little closer to Elizabeth. His mouth so close to her ear she can feel his breath.

“I love you Elizabeth” Niall whispers.

Elizabeth whispers back a few seconds after, “I love you to”

Elizabeth’s POV

This is defiantly a dream. There is no way that Niall James Horan loves me.

Then Elizabeth's muscles slowly relax and she drifts off to sleep being warmed by Niall's body.
