“What do you mean Niall??” Elizabeth asks anxiously.
“I went in there and well Niall’s monitors don’t say anything” Luke says in a serious voice.
“No no no no no” Elizabeth says pacing around the hallway then barging into the room.
She stops and stares at Niall. Luke was right; Niall has nothing on his monitors. Nothing showing that he is in fact alive…
“Niall!!!” Elizabeth screams pounding on the bed right next to his body.
“Elizabeth! You can’t give yourself any more stress than you already are in” Luke says sympathetically.
“I don’t care Luke!” she screams at him.
He gently grabs her by the wrist and starts to take her out of the room.
“Luke what are you doing??!” Elizabeth yells at him.
“Well if you keep doing what you are doing you’re going to make me deaf. And I’m taking you away from him because you weren’t supposed to know. I wasn’t even supposed to know…” Luke says looking away from her.
“Luke, I need just one minute to talk to him. Please” Elizabeth asks with pleading eyes.
“Ok, fine” Luke says politely with a fake smile.
“Niall, I don’t know if you are alive or not but I’m just going to say a few things to you. I hope you can hear me but here goes… I want to start with the 3 words. I love you. Always have always will. I wish I would have changed my mind sooner but I wasn’t really sure about my feelings…. I have never felt what I felt with you, no guy has ever been so sweet to me… a tear slowly runs down her cheek, she kisses him lightly on the lips, then leaves.
~~in the car with all the boys~~
“Are we there yet?” Zayn asks in a childish way bouncing in his seat.
“Yes we are Zayn,” Harry says glaring at Zayn
“Hey did Niall respond to you Louis?” Liam asks turning to him.
“No, I texted him like an hour ago… It’s not like him to not answer his phone,” Liam says worried.
~~Back to Elizabeth and Luke~~
“I ...can’t... believe... he’s… gone…” Elizabeth says hiccupping in between words.
Luke rubs her back, trying to confort her as best as he can.
Elizabeth’s POV
I can’t believe that Niall is gone. He can’t be. His lips were so warm like he was alive. But the machines would have shown if he was alive… It just doesn’t make sense, he was fine the other day, how could he be gone? I think I’m going to go to the front desk and ask about what cancer I have so I know how long I have until I see Niall….
The guys make it to the hospital, they all get disguises on so no one can realize who they are.
“So what are we going to say?” Harry asks the guys confused.
“Yea, what are we going to say? We can’t just ask for Niall...” Louis says looking at Liam
“We could ask for Elizabeth… duh.” Liam says.
“Good point” Ashton says.
~~back to Luke and Elizabeth~~
“Hey, Luke…” Elizabeth says hesitating.
“What Elizabeth?”Luke says looking at her.
“Umm, I was wondering if you could go up with me to the front desk. I want to know what kind of…cancer… I have but I need some support...” Elizabeth asks, her voice cracks on the word cancer, she blushes.
“Yeah, no problem. Want to go now?” Luke asks standing up.
“Sure, I just have to get up,” Elizabeth says starting to get up.
Luke grabs her by her waist and helps her up, she blushed even more. Then they take their time walking over to the counter
“Ummm, I have a quick question…” Elizabeth asks the women at the counter so quietly the women can’t hear her.
“Excuse me? I couldn’t hear you.” She says.
“She has a question” Luke says for Elizabeth, she smiles
“Ok, what is it?” the women asks.
“she wants to…” Luke says and gets interrupted by Elizabeth.
“It’s ok, thanks. I was wondering if you could tell me what cancer I have… The doctors never told me,” Elizabeth asks shyly, now she is shaking.
Luke holds her hand, it's warm and conforting.
Elizabeth’s POV
Him holding your hand isn’t romantic it’s just for support…. Or is it?
“Ok, sure… what’s your name?” the woman asks getting on a pair of glasses.
“Elizabeth Jones” she responds quickly.
Luke squeezes her hand a little harder reassuring that it's ok.
“You have a benign tumor” the woman says.
“Hey Elizabeth…” Liam says confused.
Liam’s POV
Were Elizabeth and Luke just holding hands? I thought Elizabeth was Niall’s…. Not Luke’s. Something isn’t adding up here…
“How are you doing?” Zayn chimed in.
“not so good… it’s a long story..” Elizabeth says looking away from them.
