The only way-ch28

Whilst Lucas' cries swallowed his heart whole.  The others unable to bare what could happen next, stand in the room as they watch her comatose state. Her face grows more pale by the minute.  Lucas clutches her hand, as there is no warmth radiating from her and he grows more anxious, as the doctor is about to put a sheet over her body. "No! She's not dead!"-Lucas.  "I'm sorry.. but she doesn't have a heartbeat"-Doctor.  "How can you say that?! She's just in a coma right?"-Lucas.  "I'm sorry young man.. I really am.. I tried my best to save your girlfriend"-Doctor.  "I refuse to believe she's gone too.. please give her some time"-Claudi.  "Okay.. I will give you the time you want"-Doctor.  He leaves the room with the nurses who look at them sympathetically, before following the doctor out of the room.  "I'm gonna check.. if she became a vampire"-Lucas.  "Okay.. you do that"-Jungwoo.  "Nope.. she's cold but she's still got a pulse.. there's something not right here tho"-Lucas.  "What is it?"-Taeil.  "I'm sensing something... ominous"-Lucas.  "You know what i'm getting the same vibe.. something's disturbing her"-Jungwoo.  They closely inspect her and then notice something illuminating on her chest.  Feeling embarrassed, Jungwoo and Taeil close their eyes as Lucas slowly undoes her buttons of her hospital dress and look upon in shock.  "Holy.. shit"-Lucas.  "I knew it"-Jungwoo.  "W-what is that light?"-Taeil.  "I've seen this light before!"-Claudi.  "Where would you have seen this light?"-Jungwoo.  "Isn't this the same light that was... on your father?"-Claudi.  "M-my dad? I don't recall no"-Jungwoo.  "Well.. that pendant he wears around his neck... has the same light as the one on her chest"-Claudi. "I'm saying.. how do you know he wears a pendant?"-Jungwoo.  "There's a photograph of you and your family..."-Claudi.  "Oh.. right I forgot that pic existed"-Jungwoo.  "Anyways back to the matter at hand please"-Lucas.  "Right.. so the pendant my dad wears around his neck is the key to the chasm, which is forbidden for anyone to enter except for him.. but that doesn't explain how they are linked"-Jungwoo.  "Allow me to evaluate on that"-Jisoo.  "What are you doing here?"-Jungwoo.  "She called me.. Now allow me to explain.  The light is indeed connected to the key that unlocks the chasm, but it also is connected to the nightmare chamber"-Jisoo.  "T-that... Why is she there?"-Jungwoo.  "She's not physically there but her soul is.. that's why she won't wake up.  You're probably wondering how this happened.  Put simply, Claudine manipulated your father and made him target the girl on purpose.  Claudine realises the girl almost died due to Kun, so she's putting her in the nightmare chamber just so she can help her see more reasons as to why she hates the both of you so much.  Lucas... she doesn't have much against you, it's mainly because you're close with Jungwoo"-Jisoo.  "How do you know so much Jisoo?"-Jungwoo.  "You really want to know? Then i'll tell you another time"-Jisoo.  "So how do we save her?"-Lucas.  "I mean you can go to the underworld and all...but then she might already be gone"-Jisoo.  "What do you mean gone?"-Jungwoo.  "Dead.  Unfortunately.. all you can really do is pray to my older brother Jisoos and pray he passes his blessings onto her"-Jisoo.  "I'm being serious Jisoo!"-Jungwoo.  "Relax it was a joke.  No but seriously not much can be done... but there is one thing but it's risky"-Jisoo.  "How risky?"-Jungwoo.  "I mean... one of you enters her nightmare and destroy the source... the drawback is you only have a certain time limit and well if you don't make it back in time.. then that's you permanently trapped in the world of nightmares :')"-Jisoo.  "I'll do it... she's my girlfriend.. It only makes sense right?"-Lucas.  "I think Taeil should go"-Claudi.  "What why?"-Jungwoo.  "This is his chance to see how much he truly cares for his sister"-Claudi.  "I.. I'll do it"-Taeil.  "It's dangerous... and you might not come back are you sure about this?"-Lucas.  "Yes.. I at least need to do this for her right?"-Taeil.  "I appreciate this man"-Lucas.  "How is he being sent into the nightmare tho?"-Jungwoo.  "Give me your hands.  Lucas I need some of your blood"-Jisoo.  "A-alright.."-Lucas.  "Perfect... Jungwoo now give me a drop of your blood"-Jisoo.  They watch as Jisoo brings out a pendant and the two coloured shades of blood, splatter onto the pendant and they watch as it begins to faint slightly.  Once it stops shining, Jisoo wraps it around Taeil's neck and a dark mist swirls in the air, before suffocating him to sleep.  He drops down beside her and Jisoo sighs.  "Well that's my work done"-Jisoo.  "What did you do to him?"-Jungwoo.  "Put him to sleep so he's able to enter her nightmare"-Jisoo.  "What do you mean put him to sleep?"-Lucas.  "Well he can't enter wide awake can he? He has to be asleep.  I needed both your blood because it's of pure darkness.  That's the key to unlocking the entrance to her nightmare. The rest is up to him.  We can only sit back and hope for the best"-Jisoo.  "So you're saying we just left Yasmin's life in Taeil's hands?"-Lucas.  "Yes.. but you trust him right?"-Jisoo.  "Yeah.. I mean he cried for her"-Jungwoo. "Well it could've been an act but sure... you can't wake him up to confirm.  The time limit is 24 hours and after that.. well the thing is we need to keep the doctor out of here.  They cannot try to wake any of them up, or we could be endangering their lives"-Jisoo.  "How do you insist on keeping him and the nurses out then?"-Lucas.  "I.. could ask stuff on psychology?"-Claudi.  "Or we can just tell him we need a day alone with her?"-Jungwoo.

*Inside the nightmare*

Yasmin's soul remains surrounded by thorns and evil dark mists encompassing her.  All she could see is an eternal darkness, that gave off a foreboding feeling that she isn't alone.  Her eyes turned to the evil spirits laughing and cackling menacingly at her.  She suppressed a cry, as she wanted to escape the binds that hold her in place.  She thinks of Lucas and how worried he must be, at the thought and sight of her being unable to wake up.  In the corner of her eye, she sees Claudine staring at her full of empathy and this only enrages Yasmin as she starts banging against the barrier that traps her.  "This is for your own good"-Claudine.  "How is this for my own good? You're hurting the people around me! Just why are you so bitter and wanting to ruin everything for us?!"-Yasmin. "I.. I do this for the sake of you and Claudi and trust me one day you will thank me"-Claudine.  "You could have sent me back to London, knowing full well that the boys are unable to break past the barrier"-Yasmin.  "I could have... but it was too risky.  Kun's after you and almost killed you.  My only choice was to trap you here, but it's not so bad.. I mean you're away from Lucas which is all I want"-Claudine.  "Then what's going to happen to Claudi?"-Yasmin.  "My daughter will deal with her"-Claudine.  "And who is your daughter?"-Yasmin.  "I don't think you've met her... but she's married to Jungwoo"-Claudine.  "J-Jungwoo?!-Yasmin.  "Yes his wife is my daughter... Ironic right? But this is only part of the plan"-Claudine.

Her laughs fill the air dry, as Yasmin stands motionless in place and begins shivering with fear.  The thought of Claudine's daughter being up in the surface, means she has no way she can warn her friends and boyfriend of what danger is approaching.
