Stevie's POV (as usual unless otherwise stated)

A month passes and in the midst of all the wedding preparation, I am determined to throw my son a birthday party. The last party was a mess and I don't want a repeat. I'm worried but also excited to make this one special. I've called Olivia and she thinks it would be a great idea for us to come up there for the day, and spend it with them. They're taking the summer off to focus on the wedding and I couldn't be more thrilled for them to have more time together. It also gives them more opportunities to come to the house and stay without the mad rush at the end to get home before class starts.

The anticipation is killing me because it will be a total surprise for River. He doesn't know we will be driving up. What began as excitement, is turning into nerves as Lindsey pesters me about small details. They're not oversights, they are things I had considered plenty of times and felt confident in before he continually asked me about them.

"Are you sure you won't be too tired? You're six and a half months pregnant. You should be resting. Why won't you let River and Olivia come down here like they usually do?"

"Because I want to surprise our son." I say and he huffs.

"Then why can't we fly? It will be shorter, easier and faster."

"River and Olivia drive down so I would like us to drive up."

"And stop every half hour for you to pee, no thanks."

"You are impossible!" I put my hands on my hips and he tugs my hand, pulling me into him.

"Impossibly handsome?" he asks, waggling his eyebrows and I try my best not to smile at him. He's so frustratingly cute sometimes.

"No, just impossible," I argue back.

"Well, I think you're impossible too. Impossibly beautiful..." he says, kissing my lips tenderly. "Impossibly sexy..." He kisses me again. "So impossibly intelligent and talented..." He kisses me a third time and I know what he's doing but I don't want him to stop. I smile at him and he smiles back, knowing he won.

"Thank you."

"Just think about it, okay? I want this to be easy for you. With your back and hip pain, I think being stuck in the car for hours would be torture."

"I'll think about it." I tell him.

"Do you need a little more convincing?" He raises an eyebrow and I nod.

"If it's anything like the last time, definitely." He kisses my lips passionately, his hands slipping down my back to squeeze my behind. I want him and he knows that too.

"I love you."

"I love you too, even if you annoy me."

He chuckles. "I thought you said I frustrate you?"

"Both."

"Who knew I had so many talents?" He smirks, pulling me into his body the best he can. "Let's go upstairs."

"Linds, there's so much to do."

"It can wait. Don't make me beg, Steph." His voice is soft in my ear and full of lust. I get up on my tip toes to kiss him, my hands cradling his face. My hands slide down his neck and shoulders, my arms draping lazily around him. "I love you." he says, our lips barely parted.

"I love you too." My breathing becomes heavy, as does his.

"What do you say? Come upstairs, baby."

I look around, mentally checking things off my list. He kisses my shoulder then playfully sinks his teeth into my skin. "Fine."

"Yes?"
