Chapter 20: Hunters

Taehyung's POV

"Grab your backpacks guys." Y/N tells us. I quickly grab mine. Just then I see a few men coming towards us. 

"Watch out!" I shout to everyone. Just then the guys outside start shooting at us. We all run and hid somewhere in the store. I am reloading my gun when I hear the men come inside the store. I hide behind a counter. I notice a glass bottle near my feet so I pick it up. I throw the bottle to my right side to make some of the men walk over there. Not knowing if I just condemned one of my friends.

"Go check on that side." One man demands to the other. I don't hear anything until the man starts walking to where I threw the bottle. I slowly crawl my way there and while the other men were busy looking somewhere else, I sneakily grab the guy by the throat and brought him down to the floor and choke him out.

I heard the men start calling the guys name. "You three check it out." One man demands. Three against one? Well that's not fair. I stay still and brought my gun out. Just then I hear shots being fired. I peek my head out and the three guys that were coming to my direction had their heads turned to face the incident. I quickly stand up and start shooting them behind their heads. 

Some other men saw me and start shooting at me. I quickly duck and reload my gun. When I get up I see Jungkook and Yoongi hyung shooting at the men. I join in and started shooting at them. We got them all and I quickly sit down. I am tired from all of this. 

"V hyung." I get startled and look over to my left side. 

"You scared me," I informJungkook. 

"Sorry, but we need to regroup." He responds to me in English. The reason why I don't speak English that much is that one, I can't speak it very well and two, Korean is the only thing that reminds me of home. 

We regroup and look around the little city like area. We try to find a way out of here but the way we need to go is blocked so we need to find a different way. 

"I think I found a way?" I hear Hobi hyung say. 

"We need someone to lift up the garage door so we can get in," Ellie adds. Y/N filled me in during the car ride so I know all about her. 

"I'll do it," Jungkook says. 

I go over to him. "I'll help," We then lift the garage door. 

"Hurry, crawl under guys," Jungkook says with a grunt. The door is extremely heavy. After everyone got under, Hobi hyung grabbed the other side of the door. 

"One of you guys come under." He states. I crawl under and help Hoseok hyung to keep the door open. Jungkook then crawls under. We then slowly set the door down as Ellie finds a switch to the lights. 

"What the hell?" Yoongi hyung says in disgust. I feel really disturbed by what I am seeing now. I think I might be sick. I hold my mouth to stop any vomit. There are dead bodies everywhere. Some look like they were malnourished and others were tortured. 

"Those 'hunters' did it, didn't they?" Y/N says. She looks disturbed as well.

We walk upstairs and there we find a door that leads us to the back. "Look, the bridge is over there. That is our exit out of here." Y/N informs us all. Since the door leads us to the top of a building we walk the rooftop and jump down. It wasn't too high anyway.

We weave our way through the neighborhood as soon as we get down. We stop at a park looking area. The area we need to get through is professionally barricaded. It looks like the military could have done it. "Since the bus is right in front of the metal door, why don't we just climb the bus and hop over," Ellie states. 

"Yeah, seems like that is the only way." Y/N agrees.

"But I think we should lighten the mood first," Ellie states with a giddy smile. We all look at her. Really Ellie? She then takes a book out of her backpack. "This book is a joke book."

She flips to the first page and begins. "What did the Confederate soldiers eat off of?" She questions. 

"What?" I say trying to make this go by quicker. 

"Civil ware." I don't understand, but I notice Y/N facepalming herself.

"I walked my sister's room and stepped on her bra. It was a booby trap." Ellie laughs and I see Jungkook and Hobi hyung chuckle a bit. Yoongi hyung and Y/N look so done with Ellie. 

"Hey, Ellie," Y/N begins, "you should save those jokes for later so you don't use them all." Ellie quickly closes her book. 

"Okay boss!" She says with excitement.

We then make our way to the bus and help one another to get on top of the bus. As soon as we make it to the top, we would hop onto the other side. Let me tell you, that really hurt my feet. "This look like military," I say. Y/N looks at me and smiles. 

"This was a district as well, but not anymore." Y/N states. I nod my head shyly. It is embarrassing to speak in English and especially in front of Y/N who is actually pretty and very kind to us. I don't want to make a fool out of myself. 

"Stay close everyone, going further down will be like a maze." She informs. And with that, we proceed forward.
