Chapter 26: Betrayal

Taehyung's POV

Henry wakes us up from our nap. "It's time to go." I nod my head. It felt so good to finally sleep. I head over to Y/N, who's sleeping on the other side of the room because, and I quote, she 'needed her space,' and woke her up. 

"Y/N, wake up. Its time for us to go." She slowly opens her eyes and rubs them nodding her head in the process. 

We make our way to the 1st floor when I accidentally tip over a garbage can causing a loud noise. Everyone quickly looks over to me. Oops. I gave them a 'my bad' smile. They all just glare at me until we hear the guards outside the lobby speak. 

"Do you hear that? Clickers. Though I don't see any." Everyone then turns over to look at me again.

 "Sorry," I whisper to them.

"Guys hide. They might come in here looking for Clickers. Sam, hide down the hallway away from the entrance." Sam nods his head and goes to hide. Ellie follows him. We all found a place to hide in the lobby. Men start making their way in. And let's just say we had a huge shoot out. I may have almost shot Jungkook in the face, but in all honesty, it was not my fault, he got in the way of my aiming.

The then quickly leave the lobby of the building and stop at the barricaded entrance the guards were once guarding. "Help me open this metal door," Jungkook says, slinging his weapon on his back. We all then start to pull it open. We got it opened a bit when Ellie begins to panic. 

"Guys, a tank is coming our way." I look over to my right and see it. 

"Run in," I yell at everyone. We all enter to push the door closed. We look around and notice that we are now trapped in an area that is neither small nor big. We look around, noticing our new arisen problem. 

"Where is the exit?" Hobi Hyung says frustrated.

"Perhaps if we get on top of it we can jump to the other side." Y/N says. I look at what she is talking about. A few feet from us is a storage unit. Just then, the area begins to lite up. Everyone looks behind them, noticing that the tank is trying to break down the metal door. 

"Let's hurry," I shout. We run towards the unit and notice that it only has half of a ladder attached. By the looks of it, it is old and about to break off soon.

We one by one start getting on top of the unit. The tank continues to ram itself on the door. We all manage to make it up with Y/N lifting Ellie up so she could get on. That is when the tank starts shooting randomly above the door. The machine gun is barely just tall enough to shoot above the door. We all crouch down as Ellie pulls herself up, but as she does, she breaks the ladder due to her foot slipping.

We panic because the unit is pretty tall so it would be hard to get Y/N up here. "I'm sorry," Henry says. Those were words that I really don't want to be hearing right now. 

"We can't leave without her," Jungkook says looking pissed. Henry then grabs Sam.

"Sam lets go." He informs Sam.

"Guys go with him. I will find a way out. I promise. Trust me, please." Y/N says in a low voice as if she isn't sure. Nobody want's to leave her, but the tank was still shooting like crazy. 

Just then Ellie jumps down. "I'm staying with you." Y/N nods her head knowing she can't do anything now.  

"Okay guys, leave now." They hesitate but leave. I decided to stay and jump down. 

"I'm staying with you. This way I know that you will stay safe." She smiles at me and then begins to look around. 

"Guys here!" Ellie shouts to us. She finds a garage door that is not locked. We run to her. Y/N and I lift the garage door letting Ellie get in. We then hear the metal door bust open. 

Y/N looks at me and slides under the door. The tank barely finds me as I make my way under the door as well. "They saw us. We must hurry to the other side." Ellie informs us. We quietly travel through the little building which turns out to be not so little after all. When we get to the other side it turns out to be a restaurant. 

"There are some men in here looking for us. Huddle them all together." I whisper to Y/N behind a counter.

She picks up a glass cup and throws it behind a counter further from us. The men head towards the noise inspecting it as I quickly make a nail bomb and aim it towards the men. This will be great. I smirk and throw it straight at the men. They instantly blow up killing them in one swoop.

"Hurry, through the door!" I shout as I run to the glass doors. When I exit the building I notice the bridge. We were pretty much right next to it. "Run!" I yell to everyone as I make my way to it. The tank was trying to break down the other metal door to get to us. While we run, we hear the metal door break.

 "Hurry! The tank!" Ellie shouts.

The road is full of cars and signs. As we are running the tank just rams through all the cars and busses. We are then forced into a stop. "Crap. The bridge is broken." Y/N runs her hand through her hair in frustration. 

Half of the bridge is gone. "Now what?" Ellie asks. We begin thinking when Ellie speaks up again. "We have to jump in the water."

"You can't swim." Y/N says. The tank gets closer to us, pushing the cars closer to us. 

"I trust you guys." Y/N and I looked at each other. I then quickly grab Y/N and Ellie by their waist and they grab onto me. I jump into the water.

When we resurfaced I look over to and see Ellie clinging onto me tightly and coughing up water. I look over to Y/N and see her unconscious with blood flowing down her head. I believe she hit her head on a rock. I tightened my grip on her waist and swim to shore.

~~~~~Mini Time Skip~~~~~

We finally make it to dry land, and to my surprise, we find Henry and everyone else. I rest Y/N on her back and Ellie sits by her bandaging her head up. I look up and notice Jungkook running towards us. 

"Are you guys okay?" He looks down and sees Y/N. "What happened!?" He looks extremely worried and guilty. 

I look at her. "She is unconscious, she will be fine."

"Once she wakes we must leave. We are going to follow Henry." Hobi Hyung said while walking towards us. I roll my eyes. This is Henry's fault that Y/N got hurt. I look back at Y/N's figure. I promise I won't leave you.
