Chapter 12: Escape

     Jungkook's POV

 We lock the door and run until we make it to the second floor. We start to crouch and stay quiet. Just then the door busts open. "Group Alpha you will check the 1st floor and group Delta you will check the 2nd and then come back here to report." One of the soldiers' demands. We hurry to the next room so we couldn't see them anymore.

The room we end up in a room that looks like a conference room. Just then we hear soldiers talking. "You take the Grand Room and you guys take the stairwell. Make sure you watch the hallway as well." Man this place is crowded with soldiers.

I then turned to Hobi and Yoongi Hyung. "Hyungs, take the left side while us three take the right side of the room." Hobi hyung nods his head happily while all Yoongi hyung said was "sure." Man, what is wrong with him? He didn't have to say it so rudely.

"Ellie," Y/N interrupts the silence, "stay very close to us and keep quiet." Then Ellie responds with an "okay I will."

Since there are two different exits in this room us three took an exit that leads to a hallway while Yoongi and Hoseok Hyung took the stairway area. We end up in an area that looked like a study room. We ran to hide behind this fancy looking couch.

"Y/N there are about 4 soldiers here and two of us. Sorry Ellie, but you don't have a weapon. So you don't count. Well, anyways we need to shoot them down." I look at Y/N and she looks like she is thinking.

"Kookie," She starts. I was happy she used my nickname, "let's choke one of them out and take his rifle to take the other 3 down. Our guns won't do much to them unless we get a headshot." I nod my head, it does make sense since they are armored up.

I quickly grabbed a guy by his throat, but he shouts and it makes the other three turn around. I put my gun next to the guys head. "Guys wait, he has one of our guys." A soldier replies. Just then Y/N shoots one man 4 times and he falls to the floor. The other soldiers turn to look at her and I quickly pulled my trigger at one of the soldiers while Y/N grabs a rifle and shoots the guy on the floor. She then goes for the other two. I choke the guy out in my arms and slammed his head on the floor.

 "Hurry to the staircase." Y/N says. We then ran to the area with the staircase and there we caught up Yoongi and Hobi hyung. My eyes went wide and I just covered my mouth. Y/N looks at me and chuckles a bit.

"Looks like they took care of the soldiers without us." How did they kill so many? I thought but was cut short by Ellie's voice.

"Yoongi you look seriously injured." She points out. She is right, there is blood seeping through his shirt.

"I'm fine so let's just go." He said in a stern voice. Man, why is he so mean? He's never like this.

We then finally find the exit, but it is heavily guarded by 8 guards.

We go in and hid behind a bookcase. Hobi hyung has his two handguns and Yoongi hyung has his rifle. Just then Y/N hands me a shotgun.

"Since you have better aim than me." I chuckle but give her a worried look. "Don't worry about me." She then pulls out two handguns. We then leave our hiding spot and start the gun war while Ellie hides behind bookcases.

We killed them all, with just some wounds on us. We then make our way outside. "Guys down there." Ellie points at a subway tunnel. We then run down there and into the tunnel.

Just then a tank blocks the entrance we just came from. "They ran down there. Fire!" One soldier says before they started firing at us. We run deeper into the tunnel until we reach a room with spores in it.

We pull out our face masks and put them on. But Ellie did not. We go in and hide behind a crate. "Look, soldiers," Ellie whispered.

"Ellie," Yoongi whispers, "how are you breathing this stuff in?" I am actually wondering that as well.

"I told you didn't I? I'm immune to this, I told you I wasn't lying." Well then, I guess she wasn't.

Y/N then nudges me. She is probably trying to say 'I told you so' or something. "And you were just going to leave me with her." I guess she is right.

"Hurry, before any Clickers start showing up." One soldier remarks to another while running out.

"Guys the ceiling over there caved in on the tracks where the train comes from. If we swim on the tracks since water has consumed it, we will make it to the other side and then we can crawl our way out." Hobi hyung says. We agree and make our way there. 

"Guys," Ellie whispers, "I can't swim." Really at a time like this!?

"Don't worry I will find a plank that you can use to swim across." Y/N says. And we all then get in the water. "Once you get to the other side, wait for me and Ellie." Y/N says before she swims away.

The rest of us swim until we made it to the part where the ceiling caved in making a landing for us to step on. We try to dry ourselves off the best we can. It was silent for a while, but I decided to broke the ice. "Hyung are you okay?" I ask to Yoongi hyung.

"I am fine. Don't worry about me." He said while looking away.

Just then Y/N's voice interrupts us. "You are not okay." She says while she and Ellie crawl out of the water. "You could barely swim. Either you would stop and hold your wound or bite your lip because of the pain it inflicted upon you."

He just looks at her and says. "Let us stop wasting time on unnecessary issues and let's just go." And with that he starts to crawl out. We follow him. We then make contact with nature again and let me tell you, it feels amazing.

I take off my mask. "Finally!" Me and Hobi hyung yell at the same time. We laugh for a bit.

"There is a town a bit up North and there will be a shelter for us. We can stay there, patch up and then continue on our way to Freddy's place since he lives close by." Y/N says and with that, we continue on our way.
