Chapter 22: Hotel

Hobi's POV

I notice that the stairs go above a fence while going up. "Let's jump across the fence from here," Y/N tells us. 

"Okay, lets do it." Jungkook agrees. Why must we always jump? Why? Everyone jumps down to the other side of the fence as I am the last one to jump.

We make our way through the alleyway with Jungkook taking the lead. Jungkook makes a sudden stop and whispered to us. "Military truck." We halt until he can give us the signal.

 "Okay they are gone, let's go." We continue our way down the road until we hear shots being fired. 

"It was a drive-by." Y/N says. We continue walking until we enter a building. 

"Wow, this must have been one fancy hotel," Ellie states. 

"Yeah, something my family could never afford." Y/N says with a sad look. I wonder what happened to her family?

"Look up there." Y/N points to the staircase on the 2nd floor. "We need to find a way up there since the stairs are heavily barricaded."

"Lets split up and find something that will help us get up there," Jungkook says. I nod my head and make my way to the check-in area. I was looking around when Ellie speaks up, startling me. 

"I would like your finest suite," Ellie says to me with a proper tone of voice. 

"What are you doing?" I ask smiling. 

"Of course you can take my luggage to my room." She says causing us both to laugh. 

"I found a ladder," Jungkook shouts to us. We walk back to the others.

Jungkook sets the ladder up so we could climb it and make it to the second floor. "Hey, I think we can use some puns," Ellie says. Yoongi hyung and Y/N look at her in disbelief while Jungkook and Tae look ready to hear some. She gets her book out and reads out loud. "I tried to catch some fog earlier. I mist." Y/N and Yoongi hyung just let out a sigh. "Do you know what is not right?" Suddenly Y/N spoke up 

"Left." Ellie starts to laugh.

"Yeah."

"People are making apocalypse jokes like there is no tomorrow...too soon." Ellie then closes her book. "I'm done." She then puts the book away. If these infected don't kill me, her puns will.
We make it to the 3rd floor and we realized there was no way out. The elevator was closed and obviously didn't work and the staircase on the other side of the room was heavily barricaded. 

"Let's slip through this window. It will lead us to the other windows across the building." Jungkook says. I go over and look out. He's right, it would lead us to the other half of this hotel. 

"Okay, let's do it then," I say. We then made our way through the window and into the window of the other side.

We enter inside a suite. We carefully check the floor out just to realize nobody is on this floor. "Let's continue going up," Ellie states while making her way to the staircase. We follow after her and went up. 

"Hey look, the elevator is partially open. Perhaps we can slip in and make it to the next floor."

"Yeah, it seems like the people who stayed here tried barricading as many staircases as they could." Jungkook points out. I then walked to the elevator doors and grab one side of the door. 

"Someone please grab the other one," I ask. Tae comes over and grabs the other side. We pull it all the way open. We then let go of the doors as it stays open.

"Let's go in," I motion. I enter and it turns out that the elevator shack stopped on the floor below us so we are now able to just stand on top of it. The only problem was that we couldn't go up since there where things blocking our way. I looked to my left and saw another elevator shack, and right above it was a way out. "Guys, I found a way out. Be careful." I tell them, carefully making my way to the other shack and grabbing the ledge and getting myself out of here.

Everyone did what I did one at a time. The last ones are Y/N and Ellie. "Hurry Ellie." Y/N tells her. Ellie makes her way to the second elevator shack while Y/N waits on the first one. Ellie comes over to me and reaches her arm up to me as I grab her arms. As I pull her up Y/N got onto the shack. I guess my arms were giving out because I accidentally let go of Ellie's arm causing her to fall back down. Y/N rushes to Ellie making the shack shake badly as she pushes her up by the legs I grab Ellie, pulling her up. The next thing I know the shack falls and all you can hear is a splash. I look down with wide eyes. The other did the same and we notice all the water down below.

We all shout Y/N's name, but we hear nothing. 

I feel like crying. Guilt washes over me. I didn't want anything bad happening to her.

Out of nowhere, we hear coughing sounds. "Guys?" Y/N's voice sounds a bit weak. 

"Yeah?" We all shout. 

"I'm going to find another way up there. Stay there." She tells us. All we can hear is her swimming away. This really is all my fault.
